Re: RBT Question Of The Day

I'd like to think so, but agree with R27's concerns. Is our pitching staff as it stands good enough to improve greatly on the 1 run game wins/loss count from last year? Can we do better within our division win/loss wise? Still think we need a closer either signed or traded for.

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Only interested in what our guys do on the field. Not in folks peering into their crystal balls, or using their dart boards for forecasting.

Re: Official 2018 Cardinals Rumors Thread

Man, would love to have Archer. Would make us all feel better having him in our rotation. Speaking about feeling better....next time Dorothy and Toto come through town on their way to see Oz I'll ask them to get you a smile....or an attitude adjustment....or maybe just something to make you happy. N...

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Typical King Mo move. Banking on a guy (who is under the Cardinals control for 4 years) being able to build on the success he had last season. Not the closer we were promised, but could be an important piece of the pen. Barring an unforeseen ST injury pen seems to shake out like: Brebbia, Bowman, Tu...

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Sorry to see Grichik go. Glad he's going where he can start and hopefully do well. Wish him the best. Definitely want to see the Leone of 2017.

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Spring Training is not that far away. Undoubtedly want to see how we look. See if the market softens and players' demands come down. May do something....may not. Having Gregerson as your opening day closer is not the most solid choice IMO, but who knows. He and/or Lyons, possibly Tui, or one of the ...

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Perhaps they still are going to do something and are waiting for the market to soften and for players/agents demands to come down. We all know the starting staff is questionable and now it seems they are content to go to ST at least with what they have. Then go flea market shopping. Sure would like ...

Re: Political Dugout

I'd rather see increased tax revenue by way of having more Americans in the work force paying taxes. Growth in the economy and allowing folks to have more take home pay will automatically increase the $$ to the government. If it came down to voting for a Democrat, much less a socialist, I wouldn't b...

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

With Addison Reed signing a 2 year deal with the Twins another potential BP arm is now out of play. "For Now" it looks like King Mozeliak has decided to at least begin ST with the BP arms we have hinting that initially Gregerson will be slated as our closer. We'll have to see how things pl...

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Things will heat up as Spring Training approaches. I'll bet some players are getting a bit antsy. Eventually the agents will as well.

Re: Official 2017 Cardinals Rumors Thread

Aside from being a LH bat is Moustakas really a better option than Gyorko or even Carpenter for that matter? Not sure they'd pull the trigger on this one. Also read we are talking to Arrieta's reps. Seems Cardinals are being mentioned all over the place. Would surely like another bat, but I'm sure w...

Re: Official 2017 Cardinals Rumors Thread

Agree on a pass if these are the terms we are dealing with. Royals and Padres competing both with 7 year $140 million plus offers. The amount of $$ that is thrown around for these players makes me dizzy.

Next.... 8-)

Re: Official 2017 Cardinals Rumors Thread

Would love to have Hosmer. Doesn't look like, at least in the media, that the Blue Jays are interested in trading Donaldson. Still not hot on this deal unless he would extend the contract.

Trading Carpenter for Colome would not hurt my feelings.
