ST Game #1:

Well, the Jordan Shaffer experiment should be over. Gives up 5 runs including a grand slam to Van Slyke as Cards lose 6-4.

On a positive note Flaherty, Gant, Greene and Hicks all had strong outings.

Re: 2018 YNOT:

YNOT PARTICIPANTS: At the present time it appears we only have 7 to 8 members who will commit to participating in each series during the season. Chief and I have always set our minimum number between 11 and 12 consistent players for our efforts to prove worthwhile. There are approximately 52 or so r...

Clinton and Kennedy before that and that's only the few we know of. So if Trump is guilty of indiscretions he's not the Lone Ranger. If social media had been present back then as it is today with every occurrence being available for all to see instantly Lord knows what would have been uncovered and ...

Re: Political Dugout

No every day American needs an assault rifle. I'm all for the right to bear arms, but come on. Unless I'm in the Military and have the need for an assault rifle, or high powered weapon why would I need one? There is no reason. I don't think we will ever be able to stop every deranged SOB from these ...

I wonder if this murderer was allowed to purchase the firearm, or passed a background check: https://www.newsmax.com/headline/cops-florida-shooter-call/2018/02/16/id/843738/ Could be one solution: https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/combat-veterans-bernard-kerik-florida-school-schooting/2018/02/15/id...

Re: Political Dugout

Probably Cohen who had the affair....if an affair was ever had. Tired of all this media crap. I'm sure we need the 1.000.000.000........th investigation for this now. Sure would be nice if our elected officials would simply do what they were sent to DC for and stop dipping their toes into the daily ...

Classic King Mo deal. Hopefully one (or more) of these guys will step up to be an effective closer.

( Classic King Mo burger at Wendy's could go over in the STL area.... ;) )

Norris has a 3.44 ERA and 8-7 record vs. the Cardinals as a member of the Astros. See 2nd to last paragraph:

Cubs sign Darvish:

Six years seems like an awful long time.

No need to worry though. We've got Mikolas and a lot of unproven talent.

2018 YNOT:

In visiting with Chief we are knocking around the idea of doing the YNOT for this season. It may be our final year doing so. With this in mind we would like to know who is interested in participating. We're not speaking of a here or there commitment, but actually wanting to participate for the entir...

Re: RBT Question Of The Day

I'd like to think so, but agree with R27's concerns. Is our pitching staff as it stands good enough to improve greatly on the 1 run game wins/loss count from last year? Can we do better within our division win/loss wise? Still think we need a closer either signed or traded for.
