Re: League Discussion Thread

Got a request from someone to take over Montricago. Jose you have your person ready or should I give it to this guy? Or is your guy ColeT47?

Edit: Never mind, someone already filled the spot. Probably should have looked into that before posting.

Re: League Discussion Thread

Yes! Was pretty concerned facing Windy City since we were 2-6 before this season. I guess I was due against him.

Re: League Discussion Thread

So, I know the awards system isn't perfect, but in what world does a sober person pick Johnny Everson to win the GG over Richard Griffin ? Everson had 243 less chances, plus had 8 errors, whereas Griffin was perfect. From what little experience I have looking into GG awards, I believe it has to do ...

Re: League Discussion Thread

Dunno if anyone noticed, but we lost Montricago and Montreal (even though they were really good). I only noticed because I got an email about someone wanting to take over Montreal. So davels is now the owner of Montreal.

Re: Political Dugout

I consider myself fairly up the middle and I see the fact that I can't watch more than five minutes of any cable news channel before I'm screaming at the hosts for being idiots and am more likely to hurl the remote through the TV screen than change it as evidence of that. I stopped watching any of ...

Agree. Except it isn't an opinion if their own workers admit to it.

Re: Political Dugout

If the WaPo/NYT/CNN tried to bury the Clinton email scandal, that would’ve been a bias. But they didn’t. In fact they were all very aggressive with the story. In fact, many agencies seemed to not really want to dig in on the Trump’s comments regarding where he likes to grab women . This is absolute...

Re: 2017 Be the GM Thread

Regardless of who, it's definitely yet another giant flashing sign that the chemistry in the clubhouse is off. Yet nothing seems to have been done to correct it. These problems existed before at least Cecil and Fowler got here. Fowler was supposed to help, but as a new player, if you don't hit the ...

Re: Political Dugout

The problem is that there isn't a "straight down the middle" news source. They are all one side or another. They purposely frame it as red vs blue and try to make people pick a side like it is a team sport so that they stay as the only 2 parties that matter. We need a good 3rd party but I...

Re: League Discussion Thread

Umm wow...after talking down the draft class, Windy City is very pleased to select CF Mark Nichols at #21. 75RA and 97SL potentials with a very good chance of hitting them by age 23 season. Very unexpected. I was really close to taking him at 8. Decided to go with Walker instead. What a steal thoug...

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Mozeliak said that they want to rethink the strategy of pitching use and have a pitching coach that is open to the data available and some modern views of how pitchers should be deployed. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/baseball/professional/birdland/cardinals-relieve-pitching-coach-lilliquist-of-du...
