Probably better that he pulls a Rajai Davis than a Carlos Martinez.

Re: Political Dugout

Doug Jones winning the runoff against Roy Moore came out of nowhere. Exit polls were not in his favor. He went from down 4-5% to up by nearly 2% in the span of 45 minutes.

Re: Official 2017 Cardinals Rumors Thread

Sounds like the Cardinals trading for Ozuna is likely to happen. Joe Frisaro, Miami's MLB.com reporter, is reporting that the Cardinals are the front runner. Mo and Girsch both said tonight that they are optimistic on the acquisition of a bat soon, which, for that pair, probably means they're just ...

Re: Official 2017 Cardinals Rumors Thread

https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/939856033220038657 The Miami #Marlins say they're not desperate to move Starlin Castro and the remaining $22 million of his contract, believing they can wait for the right offer. They are listening on trade proposals for Marcell Ozuna, who the #STLCards badly...

Sorry Tully. I was responding to cf4l, but it only snagged your quote for some reason.

Re: RE: Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Per Jeff Passan and Jon Heyman, Cardinals are nearing a 2 year, $15.5 million deal with RHP Miles Mikolas. Mikolas, 29, spent the last three seasons pitching in Japan where he went 31-13 with a 2.18 ERA over 62 starts and 425 innings. He last pitched in the big leagues with Texas in 2014, posting a...

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

CBS seems to think it's some combo of Wacha, Martinez, Alacantra and change. They also seem to think that's a steal for Stanton. Too much off the big roster for my taste, but to each their own.

Re: 2017 Be the GM Thread

Those injuries are what worry me. Lots of missed games over the years when he should theoretically be the healthiest. A couple of years with only 80-100 games played and suddenly the situation starts to remind you of Griffey Jr. In Cincinnati. That said, I think if you get the shot, you have to take...

MLBTR released their Top 50 FA's with predictions list today. Cards are mentioned as suitors with 8 of the top 10 players, including the first 6. However, of the 50 players listed, the Cards are only predicted to sign former Rox closer, Greg Holland. One day after talking publishing an overview sayi...

Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

MLBTR posted up their Off-season Outlook for the Cards. The writer is pretty bullish on the club and notes that they might be the deepest team in baseball. The paragraph nails it though. The offseason path for the Cardinals will be one of the most difficult to predict in all of Major League Baseball...

Ugh. Lost a good owner in uwbadger. Not sure what happened there but he just stopped logging in and now has lost the team. Also lost NEST owner but have added BitMore back after they requested it. I'm sure he got frustrated when Valley took a step back last season. Sucks that they got off to a grea...

This guy's name brings back the memory of a pretty solid trade for me. https://www.csfbl.com/player/view.asp?playerid=4649601 *Ducks from EOCF swinging at me for bringing this up* The best part about trading the best SS in league history is that I got back a borderline HOF'er in Kelly... Re: 2017 Offseason News Thread

Glad to see a new voice being brought in. The LaRussa "family" has had literal decades of success, but it was starting to feel pretty homogeneous.
