Ali came to OU in the early 70's. Spoke outside to a modest gathering. We were all mesmerized. In awe of "The Greatest." Afterwards he signed autographs and shook our hands. Never realized how large a man he was until I stood next to him. Around 6'4" to 6'5", 250 lbs. A big dude. That was a fun day.

Paid the ultimate price with over 29,000 shots to the head. Mr. "Float Like A Butterfly Sting Like A Bee" is now gone. He impacted a Nation and was one man who could back up what he said. I will miss him.... 8-)
