Watched til 3am, back up @ 5am.

Of all the coverage last night only 2 'broadcasters' were vile, hateful & out of control. Exactly who you'd think - Rachel Maddow & Lawrence O'Donnel. Chris Mathews got into it time & time again trying to get them to stop spewing hate & divisive anger. Neither could speak one word the entire night without doing so. O'Donnel was so angry he probably cracked a few teeth. It was bad, really bad.

I realize MSNBC built their evening platform with Oberman & Maddow bashing Bush night after night, even 2 yrs after he left office. Now it's Maddow & O'Donnel with Joy Reid on Sat & Sun.. If these folks truly care about the country & are against a divided nation they'll stop spewing hate at Republicans every single minute they're on the air. I'm not optimistic, I think they'll continue to divide the country with their hypocrisy.

Four or five States vote still not finalized. Congrats President Trump. Now you must do what is best for our Country....for all of us. There is much work to do.

Finally the Clinton's political career has ended. Will be interesting to see if Trump continues the investigations. Loretta Lynch, among many, needs to start packing.... 8-)

I actually laughed when someone on MSNBC was going over the numbers and how it was looking good for Trump and one of the anchors twice said "Jesus he could win."

I'd be amazed if he actually expended political capital trying to go after her. It was a great rallying cry for him, but it has run its course. She's no longer a threat and I don't think a rational person would care to see more time and taxpayer money expended on her emails.

That being said; nothing about this election has been rational. No reason to think it will start now.

Chris Cuomo pounding everyone this am on whether Trump would pursue "lock her up".

Trump needs to just drop the entire thing. If the FBI is truly pursuing the Foundation than let that play-out according to law. If Senate wants to pursue whatever that's their right.

Trump needs to focus on uniting the country & the parties. Nothing but complimentary of Clinton when topic can't be avoided, work cooperatively with Obama on the transition. GOT to do it.

HUGE DEAL is how he's going to completely separate himself 100% from his entire business empire. MUST HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY. Tuff to do.

Great acceptance speech by Trump last night.

Great concession speech by Clinton 45 mins ago.

Great speech by Obama just now.

There's an opportunity for us ALL to come together now and unite the Country.

Unfortunately many with huge platforms, like Hannity, Limbaugh, Maddow, Reid, O'Donnel & others, will continue to gin-up division & hate to further their own wealth & careers. 100's others with platforms will do the same. And average Joes & Janes will continue to drive hate & contempt on social media to bolster their own puny senses of self-worth & righteousness. Shame, cryin' shame.

Lots of talk about Trump winning, but the bigger story is Clinton losing, IMO. Both Trump and Clinton would have finished third in the popular vote the past two elections. Ten million (4.3% of eligible voters) fewer people showed up to vote for Clinton this year than showed up to vote for Obama in 2008. That's a huge number. Shows that maybe, as much as the Democrats tried to tell us a different story, they were less enthusiastic about Clinton than Republicans were about Trump.

I was going back through electoral maps trying to find the last time a President lost their home state and still won the election (1968, Nixon, also New York by the way), and was amazed at how we would consider pretty much every election pre-1992 as a landslide. As TV and Internet media has really exploded, we've become more split. Reagan in '84 won 49 states. So did Nixon in '72. I don't see how that could ever happen today.

Democrats, who many admitted last night that the party had never even had a serious discussion about how to deal with a Trump Presidency, have already started talking about how they can slow and trip up Trump at every turn to derail him. After they spent the last 8 years telling us that that's a bad thing. Huh.

Can't wait for the next four years. You thought the last 16 with Bush and Obama were bad. I have a feeling like we ain't seen nothing yet.

That's what did it IMO. You had millions of Dems and Independents who assumed Clinton would win and wanted to feel high and mighty having not voted for "the lesser of two evils." Now today, they're saying "well crap, we still actually wanted the lesser evil to win!" They're terrified of a Trump presidency and wondering what the heck happened.

Someone sent me this kind of long but very good article that was written before the election.

I also saw this posted on facebook:

When all the non-racist, non-misogynist, non-homophobic, non-bigoted, everyday ordinary people get so sick of you calling them racists, misogynists, homophobes, and bigots that they go out and vote against your candidate, do you:

A. Reevaluate your personal conduct and strategy of convincing people to share your politics?
B. Call them racists, misogynists, homophobes, and bigots and yell at them even more?

According to most of my timeline, you chose B. And that's exactly why your candidate lost.

The arrogance of the Dems and their sense of their candidate being the enshrined queen killed em. Clinton never went to Wisconsin after accepting the Nomination - NEVER EVEN WENT THERE. Clinton was 'the chosen one' from the day she conceded to Obama 8 years ago. She campaigned for President for SIXTEEN YEARS. From her election to the Senate she was positioning herself for President. Her 4 years traveling the world as Secty of State was much more a global exposure campaign for international fundraising & personal recognition than it was performing Secty duties. Just look at the record results, that fact is inarguable. Look at the domestic campaign fundraising & the DNC missives for years. Bernie was a rogue Independent who was not in the plan nor taken seriously until he pushed her in Iowa & blew her away in New Hampshire. Even after that primary battle their self-absorbed elitism arrogance kept them blind to the fact they were detached from the common Joe. They continued to take their core voter base for granted. Remember, they wanted Trump to win the Repub Primary, all their internals showed Trump as the one they could most-easily beat - could easily beat.

In the end, the exact same arrogance of elitism that knocked off all the Repub Royals in the Primary knocked off Clinton. They didn't learn a thing, their arrogance & self-entitlement kept them blind to the obvious. As they, the media & the entertainment elite laughed at Trump, painted him as a clown & the second coming of Hitler their campaign turned into a message of 'He Sucks, He's Hitler' vs a campaign of direction & strength. exactly as had happened with Bush, then Rubio, then Cruz then Kasich. They never leaned a thing, blinded by arrogance - not just the campaign but the entire hierarchy of the Party. It became a "I'm a woman, I'm a lifetime Dem, I'm the most experienced ever - YOU OWE ME". The President went out the last 2 weeks & told voters they owed her their vote. They told women they owed her, told Blacks they owed her, told Hispanics they owed her.

They never had a real message other than 'more of the same' and based it upon demographic numbers & hate of Trump. They lost.

Protests and vigils are popping up in cities all over the country tonight. Its damn near unprecedented. Trump will almost certainly need to comment on the situation.

This is an excellent opportunity for him to show that he is capable of leading and uniting.

I am ecstatic that Hillary lost! I am hopeful that Trump will do a good job. It will be interesting to see his Supreme Court pick (s)... Get rid of ObamaCare, renegotiate the Iran deal, get rid of some of Obama's executive orders. If nothing else, we live in interesting times!
