The thing is, I have doubts that he even used the term s**thole. He denied it this morning. And dumb@$$ Durbin from my crooked state is the one reporting it, who has been caught lying about this exact type of thing not long ago. Agree he would have to be an idiot to use this quote in front of his enemies. Which is another reason I doubt the term was used. As crazy as Trump is compared to previous presidents when it comes to word choice, he isn't an idiot from what I have seen. I would argue that the constant outrage and nonstop labelling people as racist from the left is what helped him get elected and that along with the good policies he has passed will help him get reelected.

I dunno if you all saw it, but Bernie went on one of the news shows talking about how bad the tax changes were. Did his usual millionaires and billionaires shtick. But when asked if the tax cuts for the middle class were good he said yes, but they are bad because they aren't permanent. The only reason they weren't is because the bill didn't get 60 votes.

Cruz just proposed a bill to make them permanent. We will see if socialist Bernie will agree to it. I have a feeling I know how he will react. Once people start realizing how much money they are keeping now (91% of people), the Dems now have to be the party of high taxes for all because they cannot be for literally anything that Trump agrees with and every single Dem lawmaker voted against people getting more money.

Trump could tweet that poop smells and that would turn into the next big thing that is wrong and somehow proves he and anyone who supports him is racist.

Democrats already are the party of high taxes. Now, most of them dance around it, especially Bernie, saying that they're going to raise the taxes on the 1% to pay for the services for the other 99%. Neverminding that that 1% has the means to hire accountants to find every possible loop hole and tax shelter. It's chasing an illusion. That 1% is going to be very willing to spend an extra $50,000 on an accountant if they can find them a way to net save even $1 on tax. And they'll find it because even if Bernie "Man of the People" Sanders was the President, Congress is financed by the 1%.

Ultimately, the only reason I ever considered voting for Bernie, and would have in a Sanders vs Trump matchup, is because he at least is willing to admit that you need to raise taxes to provide increased government services. Everyone else wants to play funky math and how something will save us money over the next decade and we'll use those savings to pay for it. How about we pay for it now and use that savings later for something else more fun? No, we can't because it's not real.

I'd rather see increased tax revenue by way of having more Americans in the work force paying taxes. Growth in the economy and allowing folks to have more take home pay will automatically increase the $$ to the government.

If it came down to voting for a Democrat, much less a socialist, I wouldn't be voting.

Before even considering raising taxes they need to cut the absolute waste spending. And then start cutting foreign aid. There is so much that can and should be cut before affecting a single American but they won't do it.

Rand Paul went through a list of wasted money spent sometime around New Years and some of the stuff we spend money on is beyond stupid.

The problem is because cutting that money hurts someone. Spending cut discussions basically go like this...

Republicans: Let's cuts these programs.
Democrats: Republicans are evil people. Those programs they want to cut help all these people! Let's cut these programs.
Republicans: Democrats are evil people. Those programs they want to cut help all these people!
(And repeat)

And it's why cuts never happen.

I'm talking about cutting clown school in Mexico. Stupid garbage that we have no business giving money for. Foreign aid that is stupid basically. I know there will never be any meaningful changes to welfare or social security or anything that really needs it but they can cut stupid foreign money.
