Crash let me know this a little bit ago. Was quite a shock, though I know his health in general had always been an issue and he lost his wife a couple of years back.

Hungo was always a character. We didn't always see eye to eye on things and he could be a bit particular about things at times, but I counted him as a friend made through the love of the Cardinals. There was no doubt he loved the Redbirds and was always wanting to see them succeed.

From looking at his Facebook page right now, it's pretty obvious he had a lot of people that cared about him and are heartbroken tonight over his passing. I just hope he's finally getting a chance to talk to Stan Musial about hitting and the Cards give him a good season to watch from those great seats.

You'll be missed, Hungo.

I'm sorry you're gone Hungo. I've known Roger for many years through the various forums we have belonged to. I always considered him a friend as well. Hungo could always be counted on for a favorable comment and support for board members. He was a passionate YNOT participant since its' inception until his recent illness limited his playing time. I know losing his beloved wife took a lot out of him. As often happens he seemed to lose his fire which I understand.

Now that you are with your beloved wife I hope you both find the peace you both deserve. Oh, and if you see Kenny Boyer please tell him hello from me.

Mad Hungo was on of the 1st people to reach out to me at CCH. I never met him in person but our friendship grew here because of Cardinal baseball. We were friends in Facebook and checked in with each other about once a month until his health had gotten worse and after his wife passed, I know he is at peace with Sally now.

Roger was a very kind man, a heart of gold. Cardinal Nation lost a good man but heaven welcomed him.

RIP Mad Hungo, love ya buddy!

Good to hear from you Freakster. Hope you and your family are well. Sorry it took losing a friend to bring you around, but good to see you just the same. Try not to be a stranger.... 8-)

Hello, Tully. Good to see you, sir. All is well here. Work, kids, work, kids. I need to check in here more often. Twitter and a facebook fanpage takes up my spare time.

If anyone here has facebook and would like to check it out. (If the mod's feel this link is out of place, I understand if its deleted, no harm meant.

I am writing for Lady Redbird as well as myself... We lost a special friend when Roger was called home to join Sali in Heaven. We last saw Roger last June when we were passing through St. Louis on our way out West. We are just a few members of CCH and RBT who have met Roger and we met him twice.

The first time we met him was about 12 -15 years ago. We attended a game with Roger and Sali... During the game, Roger and I walked around the stadium to meet other Cardinals Clubhouse (CCH) members we knew were at the game and where they were supposed to be sitting. We found all of them (about five other members of CCH including Roark). All of them were sitting just where they said they would be. Roger really relished meeting the other members.

We will say a Prayer and Light a Candle for Roger tomorrow at Church.

RIP Hungo. He was one of the first people to welcome me to the board over 11 years ago and was one of the most thoughtful posters I've ever encountered.

So sad to hear of Hungo's passing. Definitely one of the classiest guys I've talked with online. Chatted a bit with him here and through our fantasy leagues, he will definitely be missed.

RIP Hungo!

Sorry to hear about Hungo's passing, but glad he is with Jesus now. Hungo was always supportive and encouraging especially with YNOT games. I think he congratulated me every time I won a YNOT! Never got to meet him in person, but will meet him in heaven one day. Have a great time until I get there!

RIP MadHungo. Sad to see him pass. I enjoyed competition get and reading his conversations about baseball. I followed him over to CCH from a different site. He is the reason for me being here.
