I'm sorry I haven't checked this thread for a few days, but I'm glad to hear your dad is doing better. Praying for a full recovery.

I guess I should give the last update on him. He ended up going home the day after being in the hospital. Doctor told him it was just a blip and he should live life as if it never happened. Crazy/scary stuff, but he is back to normal according to Mom. Thanks again guys.

Prayers for:

I just talked to my friend Roger. Most of you know him as "Hungo" or "Mad Hungo".

I noticed I hadn't seen any recent Posts from him, and he missed the last couple of YNOT Games. Both are indications things aren't right, so I called him. It seems he has been in the hospital, in the ICU and he is still there, although he expects he will be discharged from the hospital in the next day or two. However, he probably won't be discharged to go home, but rather to a nursing home to get his strength back. Since he lives alone now, he needs to be stronger to be able to care for himself.

Please keep Roger or "Hungo" in your prayers. He would appreciate it and so would I. This board would be a less colorful board if he doesn't return soon. He also apologized for not starting the the past few "Game Day Threads". Doesn't that sound just like him... here he is laid up in the Hospital for a few days and he's apologizing for not starting a game-day thread...

Roger, Get Well Soon! You are in our (Lady Redbird's and mine) prayers. We miss you! Hurry back!
Take Care,
Chief Redbird

An update on Mad Hungo...

Just got off the phone from talking with Hungo. He has been discharged from the Hospital, and as he suspected, he is now in a Nursing home. I am hoping this is just a short stay to get his strength back and hope he will be able to go home in a couple of months. However, he doesn't think that will happen... He is thinking he is there for the duration.

On a positive note... he was able to see the Cardinals beat the Phillies today on the TV in his room. Also, his son-in-law is going to try to get him a Tablet or Laptop where he can get online and read and comment on this site. Hopefully, he will be able to get online and join the discussions on this Site and of course, get in to YNOT again.

Keep Hungo in your prayers!

Thanks,
Take Care,
Chief Redbird

Just caught this, I noticed the GDT were missing from him lately. Figured he had gotten busy. Hopefully he's able to get his strength back quickly and get out of there. Praying for a quick recovery for him.

I've never met Hungo in real life either, but I've 'known' him since I was a baseball-crazed 15 year old who stumbled upon CCH. Hungo was one of the first people to welcome me into this online family. Get well soon Hungo and get back online! CCH/RBT isn't the same without you!

Well hello Ladies & Gents I'm back, kinda sorta, lol! 1st off before I get to far ahead of myself, I'd like to take this time to thank my life-long online friend, our very own Chief Redbird, for getting the original post out about my health. His thoughtfulness & compassionate heart just goes to show the kind of man he truly is, so thanks again Chief!

There's not much more that I can add or need to add other than my health is not going to gt better, simply because I've spent the last 45 out of 60+ years smoking, so needless to say, there's no going back per say.

Anyway with all that said, now onto the GT'ds. I no longer have my DT Computer, I'm now using a Tablet, and gawd do I ever fill lost, lol! So Chev when you read this please allow me some more time to become more familiar with how this Tablet works. When I am ready I'll send you a PM

Before I go I want to thank those who commented & those who didn't, either way, your thoughts & prayers were/are greatly appreciated :-)

Just got a call from my parents that they've taken my grandpa to the ER this afternoon. He's been disoriented all day and when the went to get him up and in the truck he couldn't stand up to get his balance. Ended up having to call the ambulance to come and get him. Sitting and waiting on news at this point, would appreciate the prayers.
