Ted Simmons Has A Man Crush On Yadi Molina

Postby chevyman58 » Sun Apr 10, 2016 8:28 am

Ted Simmions is apparently in love with Yadi - and doesn't even know him!

Simmons heaps an extraordinary amount of praise and accolades on Molina - says he's the Bester Ever, First Ballot HOF'r!

First Ballot? I'm not sure..a first ballot HOF C is somebody like Johnny Bench or Yogi Berra...is Yadi even in that company at this pont in his career? I agree hes a likely Hall Of Fame Catcher....but..is he in that type of company?

Yadi is head and shoulders ahead of Johnny Bench! I didn't see very much of Yogi playing as TV wasn't too strong on Baseball during his career except for All Star games and of course World Series.

But, back when Yogi was in the World Series, the World Series games were all day-games and I was in school. But I do believe, Yadi is better than Yogi was in his prime. He should be 1st-ballot HOF.

I've seen both Bench and Berra play during their careers. Berra in the 60's and Bench his entire career. Both were excellent defensive catchers. Yadi is better than both defensively. The difference between the three is Bench and Berra are/were both far better hitters than Yadi has been throughout his career. All three are/were excellent ambassadors for the game. All three are/were great players who carried themselves with honor and played the game right.

So, yes, Yadi is and will be a 1st ballot HOF.... 8-)

with 30 games remaining in this regular season, Molina is on pace to catch more innings than he has in any previous season

he’s batting .349 with a .507 slugging percentage since getting a break at the All-Star break. His average is the fifth-best in the National League, just ahead of cresting MVP candidate Kris Bryant’s .347.

Bench and Berra have mulitple MVPs.

Yadi is a first ballot Hall of Famer, don't get me wrong but not on the same level as Bench and Berra, IMO. He is potentially the greatest defensive catcher to play the game who can also contribute at a league average level at the plate with some great years in there too.

But I got blocked by Yadi on Twitter for suggesting he should tweet more than just links to his website every day. I'm probably just bitter.

IF YADI DOESN'T RETIRE A CARDINAL I'M GETTING MY BIRD-ON-BAT TATTOO REMOVED!

The man deserves every Cardinal accolade possible. Stud, Stud, Stud.
