There is no question about that on either of them, especially after reading into his approach and mechanic changes after a rough start this year. But the big thing going into this offseason was to improve the defense and kind of get away from the slow mashers. They did so with Fowler. Dozier is a good baserunner but fits right into the masher description.
Don't get me wrong, I'm taking Dozier and batting him 4th and he makes the lineup look much better (very similar to how EE would have), but it is just a different direction from where he said we were going since this seemingly removes Wong, our likely best infield defender, from the lineup and likely the team. That's why I'm not upset by the change of direction, just a little confused.
