Boston Red Sox YNOT Results

It was a great two-game series... Only, the wrong team won! We (Lady Redbird and I) saw a rare triple-play in the first game. Only, it was the Red Sox that turned the play. If anyone other than Yadi would have hit that ball it would have been a double play and the hitter would have been safe on first.

In the second game we saw a rare homer over "the-WALL"! Only, it was Cardinals reliever, Trevor Rosenthall who pitched the pitch that flew the Wall in the bottom of the ninth. That sparked a Red Sox rally that ended with a walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth. We saw two games in historic Fenway Park and we saw some great baseball. Only thing we missed seeing was the Cardinals win. But, it wasn't because we weren't looking... believe me, we were looking and hoping. However, it wasn't meant to be.

But, here in YNOT we do have a winner to report. That winner is Elite59 who managed to score 18 points. Chief Redbird scored 14 points for the 2nd position.

At the other end of the scores we find three players tied for low score, but our TB answers say Lady Redbird will be the Bat Girl for this YNOT Team. She had to witness the Cardinals lose both games. Now, she finds out she will be the Bat-girl for this YNOT Team.

Here is the complete list so everyone can see how they did...

Leading off will be our winner, Elite 59
he is followed by: Chief Redbird
Nrmlcardfan
cardsfaninnwmo
Tulcard
Cardsfan345
Cardsfan64
MrsLand
Lady Redbird

As mentioned earlier, Lady Redbird will also have to perform Bat-Girl duties for this YNOT Team.

Congratulations to Elite59 on your 7th Win this season. You are now tied for the most wins this season (again).

Pittsburgh Pirates YNOT Results

The Cardinals and Pirates may have played to a Split, but in YNOT we play for score. We have winners and losers to report. Our Winner, with 13 points is Cardsfan64. Close behind were Nrmlcardfan and cardsfaninnwmo who both scored 11 points.

At the other end we find Tulcard with the least points and thus he will be the Bat Boy for this YNOT Team. However, he still remains a-top the 2017 YNOT Leaders Board with 483 points.

Here is the line-up card for this YNOT Team. Your position in the hitting order corresponds to your finish in the the YNOT.

Leading off is our winner, Cardsfan64
He is followed by: Nrmlcardfan
cardsfaninnwmo
Lady Redbird
Cardsfan345
Chief Redbird
MrsLand
Elite59
Srclark2k

On the bench we have Robert Lee Clark

And, as previously mentioned Tulcard will be the Bat Boy for this YNOT Team.

Congratulations to Cardsfan64 on your 4th win this Season.

Good Luck

P.S. Due to the late posting, if we do not have at least nine regular YNOT Players in this YNOT, we will be playing for fun. Points will not be posted to the 2017 RedbirdTalk YNOT Scoreboard. It's unfair to West Coast players who should still be at work when this YNOT begins. And it's also unfair to others in other Time Zones that may have missed their chance to enter and now are involved in other activities. I am sorry for this mix-up. However, I want to be fair for all YNOT Participants.

Yeah, I missed getting my picks in due to working late. Don't think I would be able to catch Tulcard anyway! :) I really hoped to make up a few spots before the end of the season tho. Bummer!

San Diego Padres YNOT Results

With a score of 21 points, Chief Redbird is the winner of the Padres YNOT. Cardsfan345 and Cardsfan64 tied for second with 14 points. The TB answers tell us Cardsfan345 will be hitting 2nd and Cardsfan64 will be hitting 3rd.

At the other end, we find Elite59 with low score, thus he will be the Bat Boy for this YNOT Team. However, because we only had nine players, he also will be in the starting line-up as well as performing Bat Boy duties.

Here is the complete line-up so you can see how you finished.

Leading off is our winner, Chief Redbird.
He is followed by: Cardsfan345
Cardsfan64
MrsLand
Cardsfaninnwmo
Lady Redbird

Nrmlcardfan
Elite59

And, as previously mentioned, Elite59 will also be performing Bat Boy duties.

Congrats to Chief Redbird on your second win this season.

Brewers YNOT (in Milwaukee)

On Tuesday, after a day-off at home, the Cardinals will be in Milwaukee for just two games. However, these are important games for our Central Division hopes. Also, these two games are the lead-off games of a 10-game road trip. The final 8 games of this trip will be played on the West Coast (San Francisco and San Diego). First-pitch for Tuesday's game is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. CDT. This will be the same time we close entry into this YNOT.

It may have been only a two-game series, but in YNOT we always have to possibility to score 35 points (with the Bonus Question). 2017 YNOT:

Postby Elite1 » Sun Sep 03, 2017 10:05 pm

Question:
"Padres infield batting average for the series within 0.010? ". Do we count pitchers and catchers, as infielders?

PS, I made the 3.5 hour drive south, to hang out in SD, this weekend. My wife and I will be at the game, tomorrow, Labor Day. Hope we get to watch a Cardinal Victory!

Answer:

No. We do not count pitchers & catchers as being part of the infield. We never have.

Enjoy the game & bring home a winner.
