Chief,
Please also change my answer to question #2 to Yes.
You can leave my tie breaker answer as is!

Maybe I can avoid being Bat Boy for a third time in a row!

Cincinnati Reds YNOT Results

The Cincinnati Reds YNOT results show two players tied with 17 points to lead the Scoring in this YNOT. However, we only have one winner in each YNOT game. This YNOT is no different than the others. So we declare "Nrmlcardfan" the winner with 17 points. Also scoring 17 points we have ChiefRedbird, but as previously alluded to, his TB Answer wasn't as good. He will be hitting 2nd in the line-up for this YNOT Team.

At the other end we find Cardsfan345 with the low score... He will be hitting ninth and performing Bat Boy duties for this YNOT Team.

Here is the complete list of players in order of their finish:

Leading off will be our Winner, Nrmlcardfan
He is followed by: Chief Redbird
Tulcard
Cardsfan64
MrsLand
cardsfaninnwmo
Lady Redbird
Elite59
Cardsfan345

And, as previously mentioned, Cardsfan345 has to perform Bat Boy duties while still being in the Starting Line-up.

Congratulations to Normlcardfan on your 9th YNOT Win this season. This puts you with the most Wins for this Season.. However, Elite59 still leads the YNOT board with 565 points.

Pittsburgh Pirates YNOT Results

With an impressive score of 19 points, Cardsfaninnwmo is able to claim his 6th YNOT Win this Season. Nrmlcardfan was 2nd with 15 points and Cardsfan345 was 3rd with 14 points.

At the other end of the scores we find MrsLand with the low score, thus making her the Bat Girl for this YNOT Team.

Here is our Batting order so you can see how you did in this YNOT:

Leading off is our winner, Cardsfaninnwmo
He is followed by Nrmlcardfan
Cardsfan345
Chief Redbird
Cardsfan64
Tulcard
Elite59
robertleeclark
Lady Redbird

And as previosly mentioned, MrsLand will be the Bat Girl for this YNOT Team.

Congratulations to Cardsfaninnwmo for your 6th Win of the 2017 Season. You are in 3rd place when looking at the number of wins and total points scored, which is our determining criteria. Number of wins is nice, but Total Score is what counts.

We have eight-players with over 500 points for the Season with two more YNOTs to be played, and the Season-Long YNOT still to be Graded. MrsLand is likely to be the only other player to make it to over 500 points this Season. We have four players with an outside chance of making it over 600 points for the Season.

Chicago Cubs YNOT Results

The Chicago Cubs came to town and showed us why they are the reigning World Champions. The Cardinals needed to win the series to stay in contention, and the Cubs wanted to secure home field advantage for this years' playoffs. As a result, the Cubs took three of four games and knocked the Cardinals out of play-off contention for 2017.

However, in YNOT we always have a winner to report. And in this YNOT, we had two players tied at the top with 11 points. When we look at the TB answers we find that MrsLand will be our winner with 11-points. Srclark2k, also with 11 points, will be hitting 2nd.

At the other end of scores we see that Cardsfan64 has the lowest possible score and thus will be performing Bat Boy duties for this YNOT Team.

Here is the complete order of finish so everyone can see how they did:

Leading-off will be our winner, Mrsland
She is followed by srclark2k
Nrmlcardfan
cardsfaninnwmo
Tulcard
Elite59
Cardsfan345
Chief Redbird
Lady Redbird

On the bench we have RobertLeeClark

And, as previously mentioned, Cardsfan64 will be the BatBoy for this YNOT Team.

Congratulations to MrsLand on your 3rd Win for the 2017 Season.

Milwaukee Brewers YNOT Results

The final series YNOT of 2017 is complete. The winner of the last YNOT is Cardsfan345 with a score of 16 points. Although this is the last YNOT of 2017, there is one more YNOT to be graded - the Season-Long YNOT which we answered back in March.

Because it is late, and tomorrow is a "Travel Day" for the two "Redbird's", I am going to wait until tomorrow to grade that YNOT. I will give a complete report for the Milwaukee Brewers in this Post, and tomorrow evening, I will Report on the Season-Long YNOT and we will find out who ends up on top. I will say, the top position was changed when I posted these scores for the Brewers YNOT. Both Tulcard and Cardsfaninnwmo jumped over Elite59. Those 3-players are currently in the order listed in the previous sentence, with the Season-Long YNOT still to be graded.

Although two players jumped over Elite, a 3rd player was the "Winner" of the Brewers YNOT.

The winner is Cardsfan345 who scored 16 points to claim his 5th Win of the Season. Right behind him were Tulcard and Cardsfaninnwmo who both scored 15 points to be tied for second and to jump over Elite59.

At the other end of the scores we find Cardsfan64 and Elite59 tied with the same low score. However, the TB says Cardsfan64 will be on the bench and Elite59 will be the Bat Boy for this YNOT Team.

Here is the Batting Order so you can see how you did:

Leading-off will be our winner, Cardsfan345.
He is followed by, Cardsfaninnwmo
Tulcard
Chief Redbird
MrsLand
Srclark2k
Nrmlcardfan
Lady Redbird
robertleeclark

On the bench we have Cardsfan64.

And, as previously mentioned, Elite59 will be the Batboy for this YNOT Team.

Congratulations to Cardsfan345 on your 5th Win this Season.

I am a little confused, about the scoring of question #8, (will Martinez earn a win, in the final game of the season) in the above Milwaukee series. Since Carlos Martinez was a late scratch, is there not precedent, in the grading, for everyone to receive points, in a situation like this?

The precedent I speak of, several times in the past, this season, when there is a question involving a certain player, and that player doesn’t play, due to being a late scratch, for whatever reason, such as being sent down to the minors, getting injured, or whatever the case, in the past you have awarded points to everyone. For instance, just one example, in early June, Cincy series, There was a question about Hamilton, “will he steal 3 bases.”... He was a late scratch, a few hours before the game. Then just before the first pitch, the Reds manager reinserted him into the lineup and he actually ended up playing in the series. He did not steal any bases in the series, yet Everyone was credited with points... even those that said he would steal 3 bases or more.

There are instances that could fall either way during the season. There is another question in this same contest that could be interpreted either direction.

The facts are that yes, Martinez did not start. The question did not state" in his start." However, he was available for a relief appearance. What if he had appeared in relief and was declared the winning pitcher for the game? How would this answer be interpreted? Of course, since the question asked if Martinez would have "earned a win" the question would be graded as a yes answer.

Therefore, the decision was made that the question received a no answer and will stand as graded.

Season-long YNOT Results

Please See a Correction of this Post on the next page.

Here are the results of one of the first YNOTs everyone enterred. Our Winner for the Season-long YNOT is a player who played just a few YNOTs all year, but he was the winner of the "Season-long YNOT" with a score of 22 points. Who is this player, you ask... It is cardinalfan4life who was able to score 22 points, one point more than Elite59 and mhardy_03 who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

But, with this YNOT being scored, we not only are Reporting the results of this YNOT, but, now all the YNOTs we have played have been scored, so we are also going to report a 2017 Season YNOT Champion. This champion is a repeat of last year's YNOT Champion. In case you can't remember, Tulcard won in 2016... and won again for 2017 with a total score of 608 points. Elite59 was two points behind with 606 points. In 3rd place we have Cardsfaninnwmo with 603 points. These three players are the only YNOT players to score more than 600 points this Season.

At the other end of scores, for this YNOT we find Srclark2k with the lowest score, thus he will be the Bat Boy for this YNOT.

In keeping with our reporting the order of finish as a Batting Line-up card for a fictional YNOT Team.

Leading off will be our winner cardinalfan4life
He is followed by Elite59
mhardy_03
BrewCards
Lady Redbird
Cardsfaninnwmo
Topps
Cardsfan64
MrsLand

On the bench we have: Nrmlcardfan, Chief Redbird, Tulcard, and Cardsfan345.

And, as previously mentioned, Srclark2k will be the BatBoy for this YNOT.

Season Totals = 2017 Season Standings

A second team of All Stars is identified as a result of the entire list of YNOT players. The All-Star Starting Line-up includes:
Tulcard
Elite59
Cardsfaninnwmo
Lady Redbird
Cardsfan345
nrmlcardfan
Chief Redbird
Cardsfan64
MrsLand

On the Bench we have:
Robertleeclark
mhardy_03
Srclark2k
BrewCards
Topps
Cardinalgirl1
Corkballrules
cardinalfan4life
Mr. Klean
Sunnycards
Razz

And the two players sharing Bat-Boy duties are: Larry and Cardinal Fanatic

This will be the last YNOT Post from me for the 2017 Season. Too bad the Cardinals didn't make the Play-offs. It would have been fun to do a Play-off YNOT again. It's been awhile since we have done one of those.

Till next Spring...

A BIG Thanks to Chief and Tully for putting in all the time and effort to make YNOT available to all of us again this year! If I missed anyone else, thanks to you also! My picks (like the Cards) need to do better next year to contend. At least I have bragging rights for the most Bat Boy awards! As we are fond of hearing the Cubs say in years past......"Wait til next year!"
