Albert... I feel sorry for him. With the exception of his bank account!

A scathing article, about just how far Pujols has fallen. I believe he still has another 5 years, left on his contract. Since it was a "front loaded deal", the big money years are ahead. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/al ... :mlb:index

We all know how great Albert was. Eventually every athlete's body wears down. If this is the level I am reduced to performing at I would seriously be considering if this is the way I want to go out. That it may be time to let it go. Maybe he'll get one more playoff run this year then retire. I would think money would not be an issue for him. It may be time to begin the 10 year service contract.

Famous quotes:

"I love it here, I'm not going to leave. Why would I ever leave over a few million dollars?"

"I'll know when I'm done. If I'm not contributing at a high level I'll walk away from the contract & retire".

The Cardinals owe Albert 10 installments of $1.2M to be paid each year from 2020 to 2029.

Additionally, he's making $26M this year & the Angels owe him $114M - 18:$27M, 19:$28M, 20:$29M, 21:$30M

Funny, almost on cue, the article comes out and he hits 2 dingers and collects 4 RBI's last night!
