Last year, Lady Redbird and I missed all of Spring Training..., and we live here in Florida. We definitely plan to attend at least one weekend game in Roger Dean Stadium this Spring.

Of course it did not help that the Washington Nationals moved down south from Viera, FL which is only about 20 miles from our house to Space Coast Stadium. We often attended every game the Cardinals played against the Nationals here in Brevard County. It's a vacant Stadium this Spring, but they still have a Class A team in the Florida State League during the Summer. But, we usually aren't here when they are playing during the Summer. And, Class A is quite a step down from the Major Leagues. Unless we have a grandchild to take along, we usually don't ever go see the Brevard Manatees play, even if we are in town.

The local A team is where we take my four year old when we go to a game. Mainly because it's so cheap (we can all go for the price of one ticket for the Bulls) I don't mind if he's getting antsy and wants to leave by the fifth inning.

I'm flying into Orlando on Frontier. Round trip tickets from St. Louis to Orlando is 120 bucks, and to rent a car for a week was 125. Couldn't pass that up.

Heckuva deal!

A game ticket, parking, couple beers & an order of Nachos will cost ya that much for 1 game at Busch III !

We went down last year, and went to five games. The most we paid was 23 dollars. They still get ya for the beer and food though. As cold as it's been here this winter, I'm ready to get away.

The only slight problem we had was in, of all places, getting tickets to a Cards Twins game in Fort Myers. The game was sold out but I left my name in case someone cancelled, and sure enough that's what happened. That was the game we paid 23 for.
We didn't buy any before we left, and either bought them from scalpers, stubhub, or at the ticket window.
By the way, the Twins stadium is the coolest we went to. The Mets in St. Lucie was old and not very nice. We'll be going to where the National, Astro's play this year in West Palm Beach, and also to Orlando to see the Braves.
