I'm very interested to see how Seth Maness performs and more importantly, I'm interested to see how that elbow holds up. This could be a real game changer.

With baseball watching, Maness set to return to majors http://www.stltoday.com/sports/baseball ... abfbd.html

He's thrown 6 innings in Omaha, 1.50 ERA. I wish the Cardinals had held onto him over the winter. Maybe with a 1 year + 1 option year deal to avoid arbitration that would have given the team some savings in the second year if he panned out, but they let him go. Imagine a strong Rosenthal and Oh with both Bowman and Maness able to play the fire man. Ugh, now I'm sad.

Doubt this has happened much in his career - Matt Holliday wears a Golden Sombrero today. 0-fer-4 with 4 Ks.

Pujols gets 600 with a grand slam.

Next up: 3,000 hits. 124 hits to go. Probably next April.

Adams hit two more home runs last night. Now batting .270/.323/.607 with 8 HR and 19 RBI in 22 games for Atlanta. He has a 137 OPS+, which is park and league adjusted. Tommy Pham leads the Cardinals with a 139 OPS+.

On the season he is batting .277/.329/.533 with 9 HR in 149 PA. On pace for 36 HR over a 600 PA season at his current rate.
