Well...I was never the greatest at math...still fact remains Ichiros is not the hit king because he did not start here.

No way his Japan hits should count, but it would have been very interesting to see how close he would have came to Rose had he started his career here instead of Japan. When he started in Seattle he was an instant hitting machine. No reason to think he wouldn't have hit in the majors a few years before that. Add 10 years of hitting to his major league career and he would have been very close to Rose legitimately.

Not to diminish his accomplishments, but still has a way to go in my book as well.... 8-)

Ichiro got his 3000th MLB Hit today, a Triple.

Disappointed it wasn't the classic Ichiro single. But a triple is pretty good for a 41 year old man too!
