the cursed franchise took advantage of a hanging curveball and fielding error to make it 3-0 going into bottom 2

Somehow ya just knew it would come down to a Game 7.

4,900 Tix on StubHub right now, SRO's start @ $1,000 - up about $400 from this time yesterday.

Baseball Managing 101:

In todays "modern game" you do not throw Starting Pitchers on 3 days rest. They hang every pitch they throw and are ineffective.

apparently Terry did not read this line, I knew this fact before last night

Kluber pitched on 3 days rest in game 4 and in the ALCS and has been money. Certain guys are fine, hopefully Kluber has 1 more great game in him. If not, Miller will be ready for 2-3 innings, as will Allen.

Last time I checked, Tito has two more World Series rings than you do. I'm gonna guess he knows what he's doing.

Hardy is right. You throw Klub, but keep him on an extremely short leash. Hendricks didn't look like a world beater last time out and I don't know that any pitcher has ever started a game with more pressure on him in the history of baseball.

I think most saw this going 7 before it even began. Really hoped that the Indians would've finished it by now after taking that 3-1 lead but here we are. Going to be pulling for Tito and the gang for sure tonight.

This is a top 3 game I have ever watched. No matter how it ends up. Wow.

Pretty stunning. Never thought I'd be that into the Series. Wow.

Bad news is: Hell has officially frozen over.

Like the power outage in the Super Bowl a few years back, the rain delay was the best thing that could have happened to the Cubs. It let them get their heads away from the blown lead and regroup.

Cubs/Indians Game 7 drew 40 million viewers, making it the most watched World Series game since Game 7 of the 1991 World Series between the Twins and the Braves, which drew 50.3 million viewers.

No other game had even drawn more than 30 million viewers since Game 7 of the 2002 World Series between the Angels and the Giants.

The 2016 World Series had the highest overall Nielsen Ratings for a World Series since the 2004 World Series between the Red Sox and the Cardinals.

When we came back from commercial & they were unfolding the tarp I told my Wife (who was rooting for Cubs) "Blank-it, this is exactly what the Cubs need to get their blank together".

And even the Cubs agree:

Thanks to another record year of revenue in Major League Baseball and a historic World Series victory, Chicago Cubs players are set to receive a hefty postseason bonus.

As announced by MLB on Tuesday, the Chicago Cubs will split up a record $27,586,017.75 postseason pot among their players. Since the Cubs will be issuing 66 full shares, that means each player will receive $368,871.59. That’s actually down from the $370,069.03 each Kansas City Royals player received after winning the 2015 World Series, but only because they awarded 58 full shares.

As for the AL champion Indians, who missed three chances to win the series and the larger share, they received $18,390,678.50. They plan to issue 60 full shares, valued at $261,804.65.
