Ross Will Not Require Surgery On Shoulder

By AJ Cassavell / MLB.com | 1:05 AM ET

SAN DIEGO -- Padres Opening Day starter Tyson Ross will not require surgery on his
injured right shoulder, but it doesn't appear he'll be ready to return to the mound soon.
The right-hander, who made one start before landing on the disabled list retroactive to April
5, underwent an MRI on the shoulder, and the results reached the Padres during Thursday's
game -- Image

Just realized this was @ San Diego. The chances of me seeing all of this game are probably slim and none. I hate west coast trips.

I'm with ya. By 9:30 I'm probably close to dozing off. Might be able to get in a couple of innings.... 8-)

Yea, I'll get 2 or 3. Start time for me is actually 10:40. No chance I can make it through the game, too old for that

After 2 am for the Blues game last night, I'll be lucky to make it to that 10:40 Eastern game time.

I slept in today hoping I could stay up later tonight, but I'm already feeling tired and the game hasn't even started yet. Might try a cat nap and then hope I can stay awake longer once it starts.

Cards lose 4-1 in a very boring/frustrating game. Wainwright was marginally better but still gave up a lot of hard hits. The offense looked like vintage 2015 with a ton of runners LOB. The defense made a couple nice plays, but booted a couple easy ones too.

While the Cubs steamroll the Reds again, maintain their Best Record in Baseball

I know the season's only 10% over but there's this smell in the air .....................

We're an average ball club right now. Just playing flat, uninspired baseball, whereas Cubs are playing with confidence. Big difference evident for all to see. ... 8-)
