Image vs Image

Jeff Locke, LH, 1-2, 4.72 vs Adam Wainwright, RH, 2-3, 6.68

Pittsburgh has now won all 4 games against the Cardinals this season.

With our hottest hitter in the lineup today perhaps we'll generate some offense - Waino has a HR, 3B, 2B & 6 RBIs in his past two games.

St. Louis.. 15 - 15, .500 8.0
Cincinnati. 13 - 17, .433 10.0
Milwaukee 11 - 18, .379 11.5

Watched the game while cleaning out the closet in the office. David Freese led the Pirates' rally in the top of the 9th to tie up the game, but Matt Carpenter walk off in the bottom of the 9th spoiled their fun.

Fun ballgame punctuated by the walk off HR. Good to see Grichuk having a good day. Is seeing the ball better. Piscotty and Diaz with productive days as well. Going to have to find a way to keep Diaz in the lineup when Peralta returns. Looking to close the series out tomorrow with a "W."

Cubs trail the Nationals 3-2 in the 5th.... 8-)

Ya giving him rally credit for a grounder to SS that Diaz threw away for yet another E?

Don't doubt the David Freese magic, chevy. ;)

It is worth pointing out that Aledmys Diaz made 5 errors in his first 89 big league innings (17 team games) at shortstop. The one today was his first in his last 105 innings (14 team games) at short. He's been a lot better lately. You could just tell by watching him early in the season that the game was going way to fast for him. He's gotten more comfortable and it's slowed down for him.
