Postby chevyman58 » Sun Sep 11, 2016 6:24 am

Zach Davies, RH, 10-7, 4.01 vs Luke Weaver, 1-2, 3.96

Cards are 1 game behind Giants for WC 1 & 1/2 game ahead of Mets for WC 2.

Davies is 1-0 with a 1.88 ERA in two starts (14 1/3 innings) against St. Louis this season. Although he took a no-decision and allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings against the Cardinals on Aug. 29, he dominated on June 1 with eight shutout innings and nine strikeouts.

Weaver only made it thru 4 innings last time out, allowing 2 runs on a ton of pitches.

I'm sure he has gone over the game plan thoroughly with Yadi. We'll see what kind of arm he has when the Brewers try to steal.... 8-)

Mets Win big.

We lose like dogs to only earn a split at Home vs lowly Brewers.

Now an awe-inspiring 11-11 over our last 22 games .............. yippee - %$#&@*$ - doo-dah ...........

chevy

"We gotta get Moss right." Which is basically code for, he's going to play every day and bat in a key position in the lineup.

Also... A series split at home is a step up. Haven't won a series at home in a month. Just two home series wins in the second half.
