Wainwright has actually pitched pretty well over his last six starts. 3.68 ERA. Not Waino-like, but still better than average. The rotation is having their second best month right now in September. Offense though is having their worst, by about half a run per game.

With 16 games left in the season and currently tied for the 2nd wild card, this better be each of their last days off unless the team gets a bigger lead. Can't believe he benched both of them at the same time either...

Carpenter is like 0-for-12 against this guy. Not sure on Diaz, but I'm thinking he has to not be 100% with his hand injury.

Thank God Waino's a better hitter than he is a pitcher now,

4 ER thru 5-1/3 with 3 HRs allowed.

4 RBI as a hitter to end up even.

9-4 Cards at 5-1/3, call to the Pen. This thing is far from over. It's Colorado.

METS LOSE AGAIN.

Giants/Dodgers 0-0 in the 4th.

Great Win.

But neither Waino or Rosie very encouraging. Waino continues to have to work like a mad scientist out there to navigate thru 5 innings. Rosie faced 6 guys & gave up 3 clean hits, two rockets for outs & a foul popout. Wacha looked pretty decent.

This is a Rockies team that averages 6.3 runs per game at Coors. And we've held them to 3 runs and 5 runs in this series. The starts feel rough, but I think that's more Coors being Coors. It wasn't classic Waino, but it was an average start, which is more than we've gotten from him on the whole this year.

And he netted 0 runs when you factor the four he drove in.

Rosenthal did struggle. On the plus side, he didn't walk anyone. And that's usually when he gets beat.

We've got a 3 way tie for two Wild Card spots. Pretty much the Cardinals need to win every series the rest of the way.
