4 games left, elimination number is 4. It's about as must win as you can get without it mathematically being a must win.

According to MLB.com, the Cards are still 33.7% to win the wild card. That sounds about right. Gonna have to play really well the last 4 to get in.

Well that was different. Shooting off the fireworks and running away was a great decision.

What an ending. Wow. Not really any clear answer in the ground rules as to whether that wall is in play or not, but in the end it doesn't seem to have mattered.

The rule says that you have to immediately notify the umpire on a game ending play of your intent to challenge. It took 20 seconds from when Carpenter crossed the plate to when the umpires left the field. It was 32 seconds before Price left the dugout looking for an umpire to challenge it. The umpires even met in front of the Reds' dugout as the Cardinals' celebrated, expecting a challenge.

Price was apparently told that you have 10 seconds to challenge it. So it seems case closed and the Cardinals win.

Rockies leading 2-0 in the 4th. Giants have threatened a few times and failed to convert. They're almost as unclutch as the Cardinals. I can see the tiebreaker game now. All the baserunners, none of the runs. Diet baseball.

Unfortunately, Colorado got sloppy & Giants scored 7 unanswered to win 7-2.
