Game #15: Pirates @ Cardinals, 04/19/2017, 12:45 PM

Gerrit Cole, RH, 1-1, 5.29 vs Michael Wacha, 1-1, 3.00

The Cardinals no longer have the worst W-L Record in the National League.

They have secured their First Series Win of the season and go for the Sweep this afternoon.

The Cardinals still have the lowest team batting average in Major League Baseball.

The Cardinals bullpen ERA remains over 7.00, is that the highest in Major League Baseball?

Rosie better build up his stamina quickly as Stone Buddha is on the ledge and wobbling.

"Two in a row". And if we win again, it's called a "winning streak"... It has happened before.

The Cardinals are 28th in runs scored, 5th in rotation ERA, 29th in bullpen ERA.

The bullpen ERA is actually down to 6.69. Just slightly better than Detroit's 6.74. But they've thrown 2 more innings. So there's still time!

Also fun to realize that the bullpen ERA is that bad and 7.1 of the Cardinals' 39 relief innings have been thrown by a guy with a 0.00 ERA too.

Speaking of streaks/sweeps, if the Cardinals beat the Pirates today and complete the sweep, it'll continue the Pirates streak of either sweeping or being swept in every series they've played so far this season.

Cardinals swept them in the final series of last season too.

Dexter Fowler hits his first home run as a Cardinal! Cards up 1-0.

That is an odd stat. Never seen that before.

Bell ties the game 1-1 w/ his 1st HR of the year to CF. 1-1 in the top of the 5th.

2-1 seems to be a good game score for this series. Cards sweep & head to Milwaukee.... 8-)
