.............................................................................................................................................

Zach Davies, RH, 2-2, 6.57 vs Michael Wacha, 2-1, 2.55

Davies got the W over the Cards 11 days ago in Milwaukee, the only W the Brewers got in the series. .

Wacha has a Quality Start in each of his 4 starts this year, going at least 6 innings in each game.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one's around .............. does it make any noise?

If I keep starting Game Threads every day & no one participates ............... are they actually Game Threads?

Cards lose 7-5 in 10 innings.

Migraine at work. Spent the evening in bed listening to the game in the dark.

Last thing I remember is Wong being caught in the rundown. And my comments there are, 1) Once you commit, you have to go. Make them earn it by making a good throw either back to third or home. 2) Adams advancing to third was stupid. With two outs, stay at second and leave Wong two ways out of the rundown. All they had to do was walk him back to third base to end the inning.

Wong was flying. Maloney needs to make his decision earlier whether to send or hold for a guy like Wong. I think he is the biggest contributor to baserunning blunders the team has right now.

Agree on that play. Adams advancing is dumb because it just guarantees the inning is over now since Wong now has no chance to get out of it. I didn't see when Maloney put the stop sign on, but my buddy who watched it several times said it was pretty late. Not completely sure it was all Wong's fault on that one. I had just sat down to turn it on the inning before and was pretty pissed after that so didn't bother to watch much more, even once they came back to tie it.

I don't post a ton but unfortunately on Monday/Tuesday nights I rarely get to watch a game. I spend those nights watching WWE with my son. Generally check here and MLB Network the following morning to see how things went.

I do enjoy the game threads, I'll try to post more. Definitely don't want to see them fade out.

Maloney was enthusiastically waiving Wong home as he was approaching the bag. Then threw up the stop sign which contributed to Wong losing his feet. By that time he was a dead duck. This one's on Maloney IMO.

However, the Wong throwing error on the line drive which he should have easily caught and kept their inning alive is on Wong. The guy giveth and taketh away lately.

I did see the Wong drop/throwing error. Definitely left me scratching my head.

Did he get two errors on that play? Is that even possible, seems it should be?

It was also a brilliant move to have Oh throw more than 1 inning. He had one sharp inning. He is a 1 inning guy. Why push it?
