Game #28: Cardinals @ Braves: 5/5/2017: 6:35 PM

Postby Topps » Fri May 05, 2017 5:32 pm

Lance Lynn (3-1, 2.45) takes on Mike Foltynewicz (0-3, 2.81)

2B Kolten Wong (L)
RF Jose Martinez (R)
1B Matt Carpenter (L)
3B Jedd Gyorko (R)
C Yadier Molina (R)
SS Aledmys Diaz (R)
LF Randal Grichuk (R)
CF Tommy Pham (R)
P Lance Lynn (R)

The Braves have lost all five starts from Foltynewicz even though he has the best ERA among their starters. Hopefully the Cardinals can take advantage of the rebuilding Braves and rebound after losing the series to the Brewers.

Prophetic - 10-0 Cards Win.

Pham 1st AB back in Bigs - misses HR by inches, double off top of RCF wall.

Pham 2nd AB back in bigs - HR over CF wall.

Heck of a game last night from all angles. A couple of miscues early (1 ruled and error) had me a little nervous, but they had everything working.

Need to keep it going while playing teams like the Braves that are scuffling.

Sounds like Fowler may be back this series, at least according the Braves reporters last night. Can't listen to Mac being as it's home market for me. Not sure how much info the Braves reporters have on Cardinals injuries though.

Yeah, it sounds like initial concerns over Fowler were unfounded. I think he may be cleared to hit today.

How about that return for Tommy Pham. Just what the doctor ordered.

Good to know.

So, if Fowler is back tonight, who's most likely to sit Pham or Martinez? I would assume Pham since Martinez has been up the whole time but Pham definitely impressed last night.

Every reason to be thrilled for the guy, rough Spring, last guy cut. Tough.

And while never a huge Adams fan feel really bad for that guy. Worked his a$$ off all Winter, got in the best shape of his life, did more than anyone ever asked or could have expected and no place for him to play. Tough Deal.
