Hopefully Waino finds it tonight. Need to build on that first place lead.

Cardinals are 14-5 in their last 19 games, since returning from the sweep in the Bronx.

Over the past two weeks the Cardinals have had the third best rotation, fourth best bullpen, which has helped, but the offense is still the weakness, even after this past week. They are 15th in runs scored and 2nd in batting average over the last two weeks. Getting plenty of hits, but still having trouble converting hits to runs.

That's insane. They've scored 30 runs over the last 4 games. To think that they're still 15th in runs scored means there were definitely some rough times before this stretch. I don't expect the 5+ runs a game to continue but hopefully it's a step in the right direction of being more productive at least.

Remember back when the team could only win games 2-1?

Yea, definitely remember all the scratch, claw, and hang on for dear life wins. I guess I just didn't realize that the run scoring was all that bad. Hadn't paid close enough attention to the numbers I guess.

Helps playing hacks like Braves & Marlins.

Cubs just got swept by Yanks too - only AT Wrigley. Hope they don't go 14-5 now.

Cardinals complete a big comeback and win this one 5-4 as Fowler hits Sierra home for the game winner and Oh closes it out.

Heck of come back last night, that one looked like it was going to be ugly. That's the resolve and grit we've seen in the past from the Redbirds, would be nice if they keep it up.

Chev had a good point though, curious to see how they fare against better teams after this stretch of poor ones.

Sierra's been a far bigger spark plug that we could have ever hoped for really. I love it. And perhaps my biggest thing, for a 21 year old jumped up into the big leagues from A ball, the moment has never seemed too big for him.

Sierra is the first Cardinals player since the 1950s to have 5 hits and 5 runs scored in his first three games.

Sierra has done good job, and is an exciting player, but how about the numbers Pham has put up, of late! Another 2 doubles last night. He credits his new contact lenses, for his recent success. All he has done, since his call up, is hit 3 HRs 3 dbls and is hitting .450, in 20 ABs, in only 5 games! He is on fire! Possible NL player of the week?

Who thought they would say in 2017 that both Pham and Sierra played a big role in another comeback win? Crazy.

Hate to say it but losing Piscotty, JMart & Fowler turned out to be a boost, not a bust.

For now. Sierra can't keep this up more than a couple weeks before the league figures him out. Pham might be able to carry a bit longer.

I think there's definitely an aspect of, As long as Pham and Sierra keep doing what they're doing, there is no need to rush Fowler back onto the field. And I'm glad they're taking that approach.
