Game 68: Cardinals @ Orioles, 6/18/17, 12:35 pm

Postby chevyman58 » Sun Jun 18, 2017 5:18 am

Lynn, 5-3, 2.69 vs Jiminez, 1-2, 6.71

Lynn hasn't been able to get thru 6 innings in any of his last 4 starts.

Jiminez gets another start after being sent to the pen after 8 starts with an ERA of 7.17 ERA after his final start on May 22.

Lynn has never given up more than 16 home runs in a season but has already allowed 12.

Before going hitless yesterday Carp had hit in all 10 games since moving to leadoff, slashing .447/.523/.947 with 4 HRs and 11. He had an extra-base hit in seven straight games.

One more day of the hideous light blue uniforms for cancer awareness.

Nothing to add to what has already been said about this club. Cards lose 8-5.

Longball Lance gives up 4 HRs in 4-2/3, ties his career-high HRs allowed in a season at 16 ............. in the middle of June.

5th consecutive start he can't give us 6 innings.

Waino a mess, Leake falling apart, Wacha struggling, now Lance. Hope CMart can keep it together.

And no Reyes to come up & bail us out.

Man, this team is making it hard to enjoy baseball right now. Every time they give you a glimmer of hope they turn around and crush you twice as hard.

This is maddening.

Everything has fallen apart on this club right now. Baltimore was 10-20 over their last 30 games coming into this series, Cardinals were 9-21. Three against Baltimore, three against Philly. This was supposed to be a good road trip.

Apparently Matheny was on KMOX this morning giving all sorts of excuses for the team's poor play. Shadows and Waino taking responsibility when it isn't his fault. Wow...

The lack of accountability is killing this team. The bogus excuses and the half hearted pep talks aren't enough. Some of these guys need to have a foot in their rumps.

If Matheny isn't willing to provide the foot, Mo needs to find someone that is.
