Wonder why MM continues to run Yadi out there 5th every night? I'd swap him and Pham.

Reminds me of how he stuck with Holliday in that 3 spot. Which wasn't bad all the time but there were times he struggled and could've been moved.

I feel like Holliday was a little different because you had a reasonable expectation that he was going to be worth that #3 spot overall. You don't have that same feeling with Molina. He is batting .220/.260/.244 with RISP. He's not even got a .300 OBP for the season.

Yeah Molina so far this year is much closer to pre-2011 Molina than 2011-16 Molina. And Mike needs to adjust expectations at least until he heats up like he did in the 2nd half of last year.

I agree Holliday was a little different. I mean he never really had an extended funk or really got anywhere near what we're getting from Molina this season. He just popped into my head as the other scenario where MM refused to move a guy from a particular spot.

It's pretty obvious at this point that Molina isn't the same Molina from the past few years, we're not in April or May anymore we're almost to July. It's high time MM made some lineup adjustments. I can't see running the same lineup out there night after night when the production clearly isn't there. Maybe he just thinks it's not going to get better no matter who he bats where?

It just seems to me like MM spends a lot of time sitting on his hands and talking about/hoping things are going to get better rather than trying to do something to make them get better.

And of course as we talk about how Yadi isn't hitting well this year, he hits a long 2 run homer to put the game away last night. We need to rip into individual players more often here.

Yea, I found that amusing myself. His average is actually a bit higher than what I thought as well.

Perhaps we should choose a different guy for tonight and see if our forum trash talk can motivate them to get better.

Oh I agree, I mean why is he even in the lineup. He doesn't even deserve a spot on the bench at this rate
