Game 150: Cardinals @ Reds, 9/19/17, 6:10 pm

##################################################################################################################

The Cardinals have two paths to the Postseason - Hope and Prayer. Pick one & ride it hard.

Jack Flaherty, 0-1, 6.08 vs Jackson Stephens, RH, 2-0, 2.38

The Cardinals are 6 games back of the Cubs in the NL Central and 4-1/2 back of the Rockies for WC II.

Flaherty allowed three runs in a 4 1/3-inning start against the Reds at Busch III last week.

Waino, Oh & Gyorko are all expected to be available tonight. I can't see either Waino or Oh in a ballgame other than a blowout.
We need JMart's bat in the lineup, I could see bad-shoulder Carp sitting for Gyorko.

The Reds have won seven consecutive home games. The Cardinals are a lousy 2-5 in Cincinatti this season.

Carp out, Gyorko in - as predicted. Sure wish Carp had been sitting Sunday.

R27 I don't think we see Waino unless it's in immediate relief of an extremely early Flaherty exit or a blowout.

Flaherty gives up 2 in 2.
Gant gives up 2 in 1.
Cecil gives up 2 in 3.

Wainwright couldn't have been much worse.

Not sure Flaherty is ready for prime time. May need to re-sign a current hurler as the rotation's stabilizer.
