Pretty clear the Cardinals' road to the Postseason has come down to a shot at Wild Card II. Cubs may as well wipeout the Brewers.

There was a lot of discussion last night whether we should be cheering for the Brewers to tighten up the division or whether we should be cheering for the Cubs to get us past Milwaukee in the standings. Brewers should have won last night.

I still prefer to always cheer for the lead team, especially when we finish the season with three against the Brewers and are going to have to beat them anyway to make it. But if the Brewers win the rest of their series, there's a chance that the Cubs don't make the postseason at all.

And if the Brewers and Cardinals both win their next three games, that puts them right there with the Cubs and the Cardinals will control their own destiny in the last week with two postseason chances instead of one.
