Have the one for the first time in a while and end up at 4? Here's fingers crossed the short stop list is garbage...if a stud is there I'll be CRUSHED.

Nice debut for three Dragons. 2112 #4 pick Cesar Branch(20). 1-4 2sb, 1r, 8 chances no errors. 2109 #8 pick Marco Norton(23). 3-5 2r, 2sb, hr and outfield assist. 2109 Tigers #15 pick Eric McLeod(23). 8 innings 1 run and a win.
We're above 500 for the first time since 17-16 in 2111....

I am convinced that no matter what my team looks like, my team will never be any good...

The talent level in Marietta is higher than its probably been in 30 seasons. It's very early still. Ya just gotta stick with it and keep learning.

It really doesn't help you either that you play in a really tough division. You've got two continuous powers in ESPR and Montreal. Katutura is always in it and has one of most veteran owners in the league. And the T-Birds and River Pirates, not unlike yourself, have been on an upward climb the last few years.

Usually a division has at least a couple listless teams or organizations deep in rebuilds that the good squads get to beat up on. You don't get that in Dean. Wait until you get out of the division for a bit. I bet your win totals start to climb.

^^^ What he said.

Several of your players including your best hitter are off to really bad starts, but just small sample size of only 14 games so far so that should even itself out by the end of the year. Plus you have only played divisional teams so far, which is pretty loaded like EOCF mentioned.

And you still have some of your better prospects in LM (as you should). Once Cupp and Thompson get to the active roster, you will see a big uptick as the offense and defense will both improve. Still need to find more pitching but you started with next to nothing so you are doing well IMO.

Rebuilds suck. Especially when you're still learning things. I've been in the league for about 7 years now and this is the first time that I feel as though I truly nailed my drafting.

To add to what others have said, sometimes players just get off to a bad start and will turn it around. I try not to make many judgements on April. And with the game logs, it's easier to see if a player has turned it around lately.

And even when you do nail the rebuild as I feel like I did with my one in the 40s and 50s where I had six Hall of Famers and got no rings (Powell did nab one in '62 at age 42 in his penultimate season though).

Then I had 2030, my first ring which was by far the worst team I'd had in the previous decade. And there was this last one in 2100 where I never found any great pitching in that build but managed to stack enough "good enough" pitchers together to be carried by my offense.

This will be my 13th year playing this game you can build a good team many different ways, but there is just no recipe for success over a small sample size.

Doesn't happen often but Bayside and Las Vegas have come to an agreement on a trade. Richard Wiggins will be the #1 pick barring a crazy revelation on my part between now and the draft running.

It's not that rare. I feel like I took you to the cleaners at the deadline and I will probably win this one too. ;)

Franklin represents the potential for something I don't have, power. Lots of OBP and defense so far in this build. Energy to play every day with contact and slugging for days. Hoping he can be the every day catcher who slugs 50 home runs on a regular basis behind Foreman, McCormack, and Evans.

And I still get to add another quality pitcher to an already potent Aces rotation that is expected to include Fegan, Hogan, Lee, and Estrada (5-0, 3.05 ERA, 8 GS in his rookie year so far).

Now if I can only find a super rangy shortstop...

Win is relative. ;) You definitely got more overall value but I got the value I was looking for. Win/win to me, perfect deal. :D

I expected my team to not be good this year, but I didn't expect we'd suck this bad. I figured botton 3-5 in the league....but I don't think I've ever had a team with a win percentage this low...

Very pleased with our draft here in Saskatchewan:

#13 C John Platt - 21 - High DI/BA, essentially the C version of Griffin, who I drafted last year. Griffin and Platt will likely be a solid top of the lineup at 1-2. With C Allen already in the lows, I'll have to figure out which one is going to move, but they should both stick in the future Eh's lineup.
#21 P Arthur Sterling - 18 - Very excited he fell. He was my target for this pick, but had no confidence he would make it this far back. Elite FI/strong SY, though his CO will hurt. He's not as good as Lee, who I traded for this pick, but I should be getting another solid pick out of that deal next season, so very happy with this return.
#32 SS Carl Garcia - 19 - Another surprise, but glad to have him. As the best SS in the draft, I didn't expect him to leave the first round. Probably won't stick at SS, but will make a solid 2B or CF in the future.
#56 P William Norton - 18 - I never expect to get much out of the 3rd round, but sometimes you get surprises. CO is an issue, but PO/FI/SY are good. Will likely get a shot at SP5.

Didn't bother looking at the draft since I don't have any picks. Wow though! First 6 players off the board are pitchers, 7 of the first 10. Not sure I've seen that before.

The Aces add George Nelson atop their future rotation with the #2 pick. Added a slugging first baseman who could probably play in a platoon against RHP late in the 2nd and a good bench outfielder in the 3rd round.

If my future rotation develops, I've got Nelson (81/99/77/66), Fegan (56/98/80/74), Hogan (89/91/79/61), and Lee (45/90/54/75) stacked up #1-4 right now. Will the opposing team even be given an opportunity to score in a playoff series?
