Congratulations Hardy. World Series came down to the 2018 draft. #1 pick beating the #3 3 times. We didn’t have an answer for Saucedo.

Time to work on next years team

He was a stud all playoffs for us. What a close series. 4 1-run games and the others weren't blowouts.

Our 2nd back-to-back titles. The other being in 2101-02. Now to go for the first 3-peat since Potomac (then East Side) in 2033-35. Aych Bee 2003-05 and Peoria 1986-88 are the only other 3-peats.

]East Side and Jacksonville came together on a trade at the end of spring training.

East Side Sends:

Cory Spann and Ruben Jackson

for

Jacksonville's 1st, 2nd
Shannon Nieves

I saved salary and made room for a minor league bat that is ready. Traded out closers in Nieves an Spann. Gained another pair of draft picks to help restock or make a trade in the draft.

East Side gets:
SP Jason Perry

Bayside gets:
LF Arthur Douglas
P Joe Bova

An unexpected trade between last years World Series teams. I acquire a 19 year old starting pitcher that is ready to pitch now and is in my starting lineup. Nice 800k salary to boot. I Sent Baysid a solid bat all star bat that allows my young prospect to come up and take over at catcher and a backend of the rotation older pitcher to round out his team this season. Solid short and long term trade for me.

One could look at this trade and say "Classic Bayside", but I'd prefer to look at it from the perspective of St. Croix.
A team that lost 102 games and had -153 run differential the previous season decides to trade away picks (including a premium asset, the #2 pick) to acquire 3 30 year olds and a 24 year old.
This would be a poor choice, in a vacuum, but Vegas and Saskatchewan are posting plus run differentials between 300-400. How could one think, "oh, the time to strike is now!"?

Lastly, here's previous comment from the owner:
cardinalfan4life wrote:tried that, nobody wanted anything of mine. Easy to say that when your on the winning end of deals hardy, but as a song goes..."some people say theres a woman to blame, but I know...its my own(....) fault" new rule

BUILD FROM DRAFT....I WILL NEVER DEAL ANY PICKS IN ANY TRADE AGAIN...I DONT CARE IF YOU OFFER ME STAN MUSIAL, BABE RUTH ETC.

Hardy should definitely get into sales. That's really all there is to say. I don't know how he gets guys to say yes to half the trades he makes.

Here is how it went. He posted that he was back. I sent a message that if he was interested in a trade to let me know. He said he was considering taking the trade that West Side offered. I said I could kill that offer. We agree to that deal.

So....we win 17 straight, allowing just 1.35 run per game over that stretch....and then hit Bama, who entered the series 4-13.....and proceed to allow 20 runs over 2 games. Ouch.

You're just an in-division wonder. Can't win outside the division. But can't get past the Aces in the playoffs. Your team sucks. Should probably blow it all up and start over.

He's like Jack in "This Is Us". (I'm thinking of the scene with the car salesman.)
