Super pleased with my draft.....got the cheapest pitcher in the 2nd round and the 3rd cheapest in the 3rd round. They'll be my FOA saviors next year as I make room for a couple prospects.

I was really close to taking him at 8. Decided to go with Walker instead. What a steal though in this draft.

Very fitting that Swiderski should get his first career no hitter against his former team: W 8-0.

I think I might have a co-worker talked into trying CSFBL.

What can you do when your top-5 offense scores 2 runs in 4 games? Nothing. :x

Dunno if anyone noticed, but we lost Montricago and Montreal (even though they were really good). I only noticed because I got an email about someone wanting to take over Montreal. So davels is now the owner of Montreal.

I believe Montreal has been unowned since before we got the owners for Carolina and New England. Montricago was fairly recent, I think, like right before the season ended.

Congrats to Meyer. Windy City was due.

Also, despite being un-owned the last few months, Montreal had one of the most prolific offenses I've ever seen.

Joseph Franklin and his 64 HRs won the MVP this year. First Aces MVP since Wayne Judge in 2080 and, in an oddity, both are catchers.

Greg Nelson, who I got when Bayside and I swapped our 1/2 picks in the Franklin trade, had a coming out year at age 24 with a 2.39 ERA over 264 innings.

So, I know the awards system isn't perfect, but in what world does a sober person pick Johnny Everson to win the GG over Richard Griffin? Everson had 243 less chances, plus had 8 errors, whereas Griffin was perfect.

From what little experience I have looking into GG awards, I believe it has to do with assists or at least weights them more than the others.

Hmm, seems silly to me, but I view awards as mostly cosmetic. I'd rather have Griffin's defense, regardless of what the game awards value.

Yes! Was pretty concerned facing Windy City since we were 2-6 before this season. I guess I was due against him.

Tonight should be a slow night. I'll try to get him to pull it up. Assuming we can get a signal where we're at lol.
