Don't despair yet. New York is 9-0 on the road this postseason, 1-4 at home. We had to win all 4 road games against Windy City. That fully validates the 43-37 home record we had during the regular season (61-19 on the road). I'm not sure what I did to make my pitching staff so bad at Steve The Pirate Memorial Stadium, but you've got a good shot at taking control of the series.

The Bayside WS jinx is way more powerful than any 1 season trend. Wiggins just had one of his worst starts of the season because of course he did.

Congrats EOCF. Well done. Your pitching shut us down.

Scrubs apparently don't want to play for me. I offered significantly more money to two of them and they still opted to play elsewhere.

Obviously they don't see how they'll fit onto that championship roster.

Based on how much I'll have to cut to get anywhere near allocations, they might be starting :o  :D

I was told that there are some big changes in the way FA works in the next big release. Right now there is a TON of weight on the position that the FA plays. Basically if you try to get a 3B and your current 3B is really good, you won't get them if there is someone else bidding on them. Same with pitchers and all other positions. It will make more sense after the release. Hopefully smittias explains it as well then as he did to me because I sent something to him asking about what was going on after being burned by it twice with franchise altering created FA. Bid way more, lost out on bidding because of "playing time" even though they were going to play for me no matter what.

New York's 2018 Second Round Pick

Had to make an allocation move here, but I think we both ended up better off. Manuel is gonna provide a nice boost to Vegas' rotation. Lunsford is cheaper and should still provide some quality innings for New York.

With Stewart and Manuel I picked up some depth in the rotation which should boost my bullpen by moving Nolan out there. We might not score a ton of runs, but you won't either.

Hogan - 3.57 ERA, 251 IP, 25 yrs old
Nelson - 3.64 ERA, 222 IP, 23 yrs old
Fegan - 2.71 ERA, 255 IP, 24 yrs old
Stewart - 1.81 ERA, 189 IP, 31 yrs old
Manuel - 3.41 ERA, 232 IP, 34 yrs old

Not a bad rotation.

Draft Order
638 - Pick 1 Saskatchewan Eh-thletics
877 - Pick 2 Jacksonville Crimsons
010 - Pick 3 Peoria Chiefs (falls to #5, due to penalty)
366 - Pick 4 River City Razorbacks (bumps up to #3)
911 - Pick 5 Montricago City Cannons (Bumps up to #4)
294 - Pick 6 West Side Boxer Robbers
731 - Pick 7 Potomac Nationals
176 - Pick 8 Carolina Wesofina
697 - Pick 9 Appalachian Isotopes
725 - Pick 10 Vegas Aces (To Bayside)
359 - Pick 11 Palm Beach Cardinals (To Windy City)
216 - Pick 12 Portland Pride
179 - Pick 13 Montreal Expos
630 - Pick 14 Katutura Badbirdz
654 - Pick 15 Aych Bee Breeze
Pick 16 Valley Bulldogs

-----------------

Whoop whoop! A nice gift to finish out the rebuild. I've only got one top-6 player in my build currently (Furlong at SS)...I'm hoping to bring in a #1 pitcher who will be ready next season. There is a possibility I'd move the pick, but I'll have to see the draft list first.

Lots of prospects up this season. Massive improvements to defense and offense, and a couple guys up in the rotation. I'm hoping for a >.500 season, but unless we get lucky, I'm not expecting any real playoff chances until next season due to strong division competition and still waiting on a few additional pieces to develop.

Thanks a lot Dbacks. I have been out and about all day. Just got it updated on the site and in the Google Sheet. I'll update the thread tomorrow probably since I'm heading out again now.
