Yeah, I fell from #2 to #7 last year, so I understand your pain. But, you win some, you lose some. While I won big this season (#4 to #1), I've had pretty bad lotto luck in this build.

2113 - #8 to #13
2114 - #1 to #1
2115 - #2 to #3
2116 - #2 to #7
2117 - #4 to #1

So, overall, -8 over 5 drafts. It's worked out well overall, though. Pleased with the players I got and avoided any lotto penalties.

Vegas first round picks in 2020 and 2021

Vegas has already traded their 2120 1st rounder here. I assume 2121 and 2122 are fine?

Also please make sure that the future picks thread is up to date for everyone. If I missed anything, let me know. Like I said I have been gone most of the weekend. Think I am caught up but double check me.

Is it too much to ask for my team to get off to a fast start once in awhile?

2121 and 2122 are good. I wrote down the wrong years in the thread.

This came together rather quickly and unexpectedly. St. Criox gets the best pitcher in the deal and fills in the holes that where left in his lineup after the Bayside trade. I trade for some younger starters and a future 1st. Still trying to turn my roster over and in the market for a future 3b. I have some solid prospects we could flip each other and a stud defensive ss playing CF for me right now if someone is interested. I am almost there but not quiet.

As Tony La Russa would say, "It's the 2nd week of the season!"

Welcome to the last two years for me.

But really, I've always felt that you have to get into the second trip through your division before you really know which direction your team is headed. Fast/slow starts right away don't mean much.

It doesn't help that you play in such a tough division. Like R27 said though, give it a bit. On paper, you should be right there at the end. Every team has its ups and downs throughout the season.

Interesting deal between St. Croix and ESPR. Gocards deserves an award for rebuilding while never actually being bad.

The problem is that these are all division games and I didn't make the playoffs last year due to divisional record...

I'm trying but I don't have any rings to show for it like you do.

I'm not the only one that's good at this bayside just made the news leader for having the longest active playoff run ever

There are 3 starters who intrigued me and would likely upgrade my SP situation, but none of them are close to ready. I debated seeing if I could find an upgrade via trade, but at this point I expect to stick with my pitching staff and focus on improving my offense. I see a nearly fully developed slugger who would be a clear upgrade over my current DH situation, he will likely be moved into the #4 slot on 7/16 so he can start racking up some Staats (if you know what I mean) and further our chances of a playoff push this year.

This is definitely a developmental draft more than ready to play draft.

Adding another notch in my rebuild belt. I shipped out a lot of defense in these 3 guys. . Jacksonville has created a dominate infield defense. I get a power hitting catcher of the future in White. White still has a few years of developing left to complete. He has a good arm which will allow him to stick at catcher. Future first to try and grab another starter. Still in the market for a 2 way 3B and have some minor league chips to move if anyone is interested..

Well that's a pretty big trade.

Basically he needed pitching and a 3B. I wanted some longer term pitching so I'm moving up to take a pitcher in this draft who will cook for a while (unless Dbacks changes his mind and takes the guy I want  ).

Still trying to figure out what my whole defensive alignment will be after picking up Albert. But we will find a way to work him in.
