Last minute trade before the draft ran.

Pretty happy with the draft we had. The draft list wasn't real great, but I found a couple usable guys and 1 with huge upside but huge developmental risk.

#15 - P Robert Tice - If he fully develops, he has ace potential. If he develops slowly, he is worthless. Hoping for the best here.
#24 -SS Thomas Boyer - Won't stay at SS, but should be a nice leadoff type hitter with some defensive value at an easier position.
#48 - SS Glenn Flanary - Super sub type player with very nice RA and some DI to hopefully not be worthless at the plate.
#70 - P Mario Kelly - Ahh the memories. This guy is just a salary scrub though.

Our 6-7 loss to St Croix delivered Swiderski his first non-quality start of the season. It also ended his scoreless inning streak at 70 innings.

I didn't realize he was perfect in quality starts too. That kind of puts into perspective just how hard Chris Olsen's 81 game QS streak was.

congrats New York on taking out my young Panty Raider roster. Never expected them to make the jump they made this year. I thought I was 2-3 years out still. Hopefully this is just the start of what is to come. Go win another championship before I try and take over the top of this division lol

33 total runs scored in the first 2 games of the Schoendienst LCS....can't say I expected that in a matchup of the #1/#2 pitching staffs  . Unfortunately we've been on the losing side both times.

Mounted a strong comeback in game 1 with a grand slam in the 9th inning, but fell 1 run short.

Managed to score 5 runs on Canella, which had been done only once all season. Rookie F. Clark only allowed 1 over 6, but then the bulpen ruined our opportunity, allowing 10 over 1.2 innings.

Hoping for a comeback, but this is going to be tough.

Congrats Dbacks! Took down the WS even with us forcing you to use Swiderski 3 times in the LCS.

Thanks! I was not pleased to need to use Swiderski in game 7 of the LCS....and after I lost those first 2 games, my hopes were not very high. Always fun to win a WS, and twice as fun when you get to go to R27's house for a thanksgiving dinner the next day and rub it in just a little (I'm thankful that I have 9 WS wins, and Jon only has 5 :D )

Definitely glad I went after Swiderski last season. We still would have been good, but I think it's a safe bet that I wouldn't have been the WS winner without him this year. He pulled out some very important wins.

Congrats on the WS win! Hopefully one day I get to enjoy that again.

I was putting together an email for taders about Swiderski as that trade got accepted. So you beat me to the punch or there is a decent chance I would have him. Enjoy his pay jump this flip with that ridiculous season he put up. :)

Yeah, he went up just over 1 mil. Active roster gained 4-5 mil at the flip.

Unless my guy has been active without talking about it then I think he may not work out right now. Work has been hectic and he has been working a lot of hours.

Crap, I didn't process the fact that 4/1 was yesterday, so the draft should have been run yesterday. Unfortunately I am at a client's office all day today, so I won't be able to run it until tonight. Sorry guys.

Unrelated, but cool: McNeil just threw a no hitter on 4/4, 2nd game of the season, for the 2nd season in a row. 4-0 (4/4/2121) and 2-0 (4/4/2120).
