2096 Team Expectations/Predictions

Postby mhardy_03 » Wed Jul 29, 2015 4:19 pm

I know it is pre-flip still, but we need to break some things off into separate threads, so figured I would start here. What is everyone expecting for their team in 2096? Other than hopefully making the playoffs again, I won't know what to expect until April 1 since I have some offseason moves planned. I'll post closer to then.
CSFBL - Bayside Tigers

80 seasons, 8007-4793 (.626), 71 Playoff Apps, 49 Division Titles, 33 League Titles

Ideally New York would take a considerable leap forward this year. 70+ wins would be huge. It'll all depend on the pitching though. I'll reiterate that this looks to easily be my worst build. The offense might be similar to my teams in the 2080's but the pitching just wasn't there when I had high draft picks.
CSFBL: New York River Pirates: (2037-2114)
40 Playoff appearances, 19 Division titles, 8 League titles
2053, 2057, 2058, 2074, 2090 & 2113 World Champions

If I can acquire another starting pitcher this offseason, I expect to contend for the Brock Wild Card.

I've got C Fults, 2B Marcucci, 3B Jones, and RF Boone all jumping into the starting lineup. Another year of development plus an improved defense up the middle should help my pitching staff out a great deal. Aces should score a lot of runs this year if nothing else.

Good call on splitting up the threads.

It will be a busy offseason for Windy City. Quinones and Dunn have likely played their last seasons for the Pale Hose. Plenty of youth with be ready in 2096 including SS Downing, C Sinegal, COF Dostal and 3B Joiner. Who knows, perhaps a trade or two will occur as well.

After finishing 1st in ERA and 9th in runs scored in 2095, I would set my expectations at top 3 in ERA and top 10 in runs. I'm hopeful for another post season run in 2096. Fingers crossed the Pale Hose won't blow two saves in a series again

World Series Champions..or Failure for the Monsters..after taking the jugurnaunt Tigers to Game 7 in the LCS, the Monsters have only one thing on thier mind...ending a 100 year Title drought and becoming Chamipons. in Spring Training down in Sunny Saint Lucia we were surprised to see long time vet, 39 year old Stephen Eaker show back up ready to secure the #3 spot in the rotation behind Jerry Curran and Chaid Said

Vertran Monster Sam Wilson told the Galesburg Times "its nice of the owner to finally open up a World Class facilty in the Carribean for us to come and pratice daily after a long season". Wilson is approaching a career milestone of 400 Home Runs and has been ever steady in his career.

The Monsters also Welcome afew new faces to our complex. Rookie Marshall Sanborn was overwhealmed and in awe of the Spring Training complex in St. Lucia, hopefully hes ready to get to work. we also saw another rookie making his rookie debut this season from Bel Air California the Prince of Bel Air, Will Smith. We also have Non-Roster invites Biddy Shore, Brian Morris, Matt Murray and Alex Holland have been seen playing in ST with the big club, however they need more devolpmental time, so they'll start the season in the minors. many players have yet to be reached for comment but rest assured Galesburg this team is hard at work, wanting to give its fanbase something they havenot seen in over 100 years....a World Series Champonship

East Side has the same expectation as the past few years. Make the playoffs to face the expos. Roll the dice and see what happens.

95 wins. Make playoffs and take my chances.

Address my aging issue somewhat.

Enjoy Chris Olsen, keep his career ERA under 2.

Complain about John Fuller and his neverdevelopingness. 95 BA and 81 SL potentials. he's 29 and would need another 15 seasons of development at this pace to get to max BA. check that one off.

Rotaion
I have a solid 1/2 punch in Tucker and Green. Then I have a bunch of starters that range from 3-5 starters. I need two of the starters to establish themselves as good 3 and 4 starter out of the following group (Wood; Stewart; Ashe; Berrian; Washington; and Newton)

Bullpen:
The Closer will the either Branch, Washington, or Berrian depends on who wins the rotation battle
The rest of the bullpen who misses out on the rotation spot (the first month or two will be seeing who I like best) and a couple of cheap fillers.

Lineup:
Alfred Tucker-C/DH; John Mellen-1B; George Chaney-2B; Victor Kruse-3B; Lionel Cook-SS; Chance Bennett-LF; Rodolfo Price-RF; William Lang-CF; Martin Moore-C/DH

Note:
This year will be more about development on some younger players and rebound from what have been some consistent stars. I was hoping to land a 2/3 Starter and an right hand hitting 2B to platoon with Chaney but could not match up with anybody.

Predictions:
This will be a fight to the finish like many of the past years. I hope to make the playoffs but I know that first will be hard to win with East Side in the division. New York is improving and Katutura and Miami always seem to find a way to stay in the race so wins could be hard to come by in our division.

Well after dealing Jenkins for a RF/DH and some future picks, our goal is to win 95+ games, make the playoffs, and roll the dice again. Have a couple prospects who are ready to go but may not have a starting spot yet. May try to trade some offense this year. We'll see.

In Carolina, everything has changed. Park is huge again. The waterslide, nicknamed Our Playoff Chances based on the ride ending at the lowest point, that went from left to right field that was installed to attract fans to the games while the team was awful, has been removed. It has be replaced with dirt where other teams HR go to die in our gloves and our fly balls fall for triples.

The staff has 7 pitchers that didn't throw in Carolina last season, included 3 rookies (Bisson (11th pick in 2097), Hodge (14 in 2095), Schmit(22 in 2098) in the rotation. The closer spot has been occupied by 2089 WS Game 7 winner, Gregory Howard. The lineup has 2099 #1 overall Gary Horton installed into the heart. The rest is composed of guys that I'd prefer were in a utility role. 23yo William Ortega could use another season in the minors and would be better at 1B, but he is our best option at 3B. We have two CF, one will play SS.

I have no idea what to expect.

Expectations are adjusted. 75 wins would be a lot to expect. Horton is doing fine but not crazy good. Schmit is good, Bisson ok, Hodge struggling.
