As of 8/3, 5 teams in the Musial division have a positive run differential. At the same time, 5 teams in Brock have negative run differential. I remember plenty of times seeing 4 teams being legit in a division at once but 5? Also it is pretty impressive that Las Vegas is 13 games over .500 with a -2 run differential.

I just pointed this out. Carolina is +71 and has just one more win than me.

Grinding out the wins, baby.

Who knew you could pick up an All Star appearance while not gaining a year of experience? League, meet P Joseph Landers, who pitched 29.1 IP. I've never seen something like that.

Allowing 1 run over 7 innings against the Aces, Eric Grover picked up his second win of the season and slid past former Aces great William Powell into sole possession of 3rd place on the All Time Wins List. Can he make it to the 400 Club by the end of the season to join Trevor Parrott (412 wins) and Gerald Torbert (423 wins)?

Marathon 19 inning pitchers duel, Potomac holds on to win 3-2. Somehow three third-round scrubs managed to pitch 10 shutout innings for me in relief.

C Thom Gamino goes 0 for 8 on the day.

JRM and West Side just outscored me 47-7 in a 3 game series. I'm regretting making him my best man.

To continue the rough patch for New York, in their first game in Bayside, Frank Rodriguez throws his 3rd no hitter against them.

Alvin Stewart gave up his first run during his 9th start of the year. It ended a streak of 52 scoreless innings. He wasn't even pitching when the streak was broken as it was a relief pitcher who inherited the runner and allowed him to score. :o

Pretty surprising to post twice on this thread in such a short window.

Windy City beats River City 16-4 to cap a 4 game series sweep. But here's the interesting part: the game lasted 16 innings. Windy City scored 12 runs in the top of the 16th. I doubt there were any River City fans still in the park for the bottom of the 16th.

Good? Bad? Or just downright unusual?

So far, after (an unfortunate) 73 losses - all the losses are tagged to either the SP or closer. In other words, my middle relievers and setup men are "undefeated" after 215 innings this season.

Certainly something's gonna give (or forum jinx) but I figured I'd point this out this late in the season while it lasts.

Clyde Sager racks up his 400th career save, making him the 51st pitcher in league history to notch 400 saves. He is the active All Time Saves leader and fourth on the Las Vegas franchise list.

It was an exciting 9th inning. Got two easy outs to short to start the inning, followed by 3 Bloomington singles, before another easy ground ball to short to escape with a 5-4 win.
