The Badbirdz are in the market for a defensive shortstop. If you have excess arms, let me know.

Las Vegas has the #8 and #10 and would be willing to consider trading those to move up.

We're sub-.500, even with the benfit of a squishy division (21-14 in division, but just 13-26 outside) and while I have a couple underperformers I expect to bounce back a little, I don't think it will be enough for us to really make a difference this year. My pitching is a little older, but still some solid guys there....a good portion of my offense is still in their prime.

Here's a link to my Active Roster

I don't have time to link everyone at the moment, but some highlights include a 30 yr old MVP candidate, high range SS, 2B, and CF who don't embarrass at the plate, sluggers, OBP guys, some quality pitchers

I prefer future picks, as I don't currently have scouting, but would consider picks this year if they are high picks. Prospects considered as well.

Hitters
LF Steven Bell - 30 - Middle of the order bat, over 1.000 OPS this year
C Robert Marie - 28 - Budget friendly OBP guy. .400 OBP for just 2.3 million
CF Donald Griffin - 33 - Still working his way back from an early season slump, he's a high range (90 potential full scout) OBP guy with a little pop
2B Donald Golden - 32 - High range (92 potential full scout), OBP guy, former GG
SS James Snyder - 29 - high range (94 potential full scout), nothing spectacular at the plate, but isn't terribly either. He's been good for .700 OPS the past 5 seasons.
3B Allen Summers - 33 - In a down year, may be in decline, but still a solid hitter, especially if he bounces back
RF Michael Vergara - 31 - Having a major slump season, I'd wait for him to return to form before considering selling low on him. On pace for around 30 HRs this year, but hit 63 last season.
RF Terrence Vest - 28 - OBP guy in a slump. Another guy I'd expect to be around .400 OBP, but not showing it yet this season

Pitchers
Gerald Bailey - 33 - Still going strong with a 3.07 ERA, FI and EN should keep him going for a few more years
Mickey Bennett - 35 - 3.72 ERA, will come cheap to someone needing a short term solution (2nd rounder)
Robert Lefkowitz - 32 - 3.34 ERA

I will be looking to move:

Dorian Saenz: http://csfbl.com/player.asp?playerid=4507383

He has tremendous power and is still just 27 years old. I would love to find a place for him, but there is a logjam at 1B, so he is playing out of position at SS.

Joseph Jones: http://csfbl.com/player.asp?playerid=4429571

He is another guy I wish I had room for, but I have so many first basemen and two are playing out of position and I have one of my catchers as the DH already. He is a great leadoff hitter, having hit at least .300 in every season but one so far in his career. He is still just 29.

Looking for a young defensive-minded SS and 2B or young pitching

I am adding 2B Russell Presley to the block. He is a solid, young 2B, but with my first rounder being a 2B, I don't need him any more...

If contending teams need help down the stretch (plus another season or so) I'm open to trading my older hitters or pitchers for draft picks.

Thanks,

Lots of pieces available from Bayside.

The elite:
SP Darin Gonzalez - 31, 2 time Cy Young in his prime. Great build that will last.
SP Reginald Jackson - 29, basically a less dominant but more durable version of Gonzalez. Could start 40 games if pushed.

Very cheap:
C Keith Beasley - 34, aging but very productive bat.
1B Jack Leake - 36, excellent defense, solid OBP bat.
SP Clark Weston - 35, very solid back end starter.

Somewhere in between:
CF James Cahill - 29, 89 RA and a solid bat. Would be an above average regular who could become a very good defensive 2B if needed.
2B William Mesta - 19, 97 potential RA that will be developed next season. Weak but not completely worthless bat.
2B Ted Cupp - 20, 92/78/83 defense potential. Slightly better bat than Mesta.
2B Mack Washington - 22, monster slugger with 97 SL potential and decent other hitting ratings. I expect .850-.900 OPS at his peak. 53 RA would convert to a very above average defender at 3B or COF.
P Charles Clark - 24, elite SY with good PO and solid EN. Could be excellent out of the pen or good in the rotation.
P Ellis Finch - 19, elite SY with good FI and enough EN to be a starter. Could be excellent out of the pen or good in the rotation.

Primarily looking for picks or upper tier prospects (could use a C and a SP) but am open to talk.

Marietta's Trade Block

I will listen to any offers, but it will be extremely hard to get Mullens, Thompson, Dykes, Miller, Pullen and Frias...

Russell Presley: http://csfbl.com/player.asp?playerid=4486322

I just drafted a second baseman, so he is not needed any more. He is an average player, will hit .250-.260 every year with around 10 homers per year. Still just 25...

Looking for a young defensive wizard at SS or young pitching

Windy city trade block

SP Dale Crockett - PO/SY build that doesn't fit well into my park after moving the fences in. He gave up significantly more home runs last year but before that he had 8 straight years of sub 3 era.

3b Peter Arnold - elite defense at 3b with a bat that won't kill you but also isn't anything special.

I'd be willing to package these guys for a 1st round pick or a young hitter. I'll even take on a DH type if the bat is good enough.

C Mullens is now on the block as well. He is a very good bat, but his defense is not very good. Looking for pitching and/or picks...

Have a couple big parts that are available in the right deal.

Pick #5

SP Reginald Jackson - Could start 40 games if pushed, lost 3 points of PO over the last flip (could be good for him) but fully developed other than that. 3 of his first 4 starts were bad so they are skewing his numbers for this year, but I expect by the end of the year he will have similar numbers as in the past.

Wouldn't mind dropping back in the draft some this year. Also looking for picks in the future or young solid pitching prospects. Would package both in a great offer. Also some minor parts could be added on my end.

I have some huge assets that are available for the right return:
Picks #6 and #14

2B Larry Burns - 22YO switch hitter, 80 BA, 86 SL, 84 RA, 75 GL potentials, ready next year. Good offense for 2B and excellent defense. Rare combination.
2B Trent Phillips - 22YO 97BA, 77RA, 88GL, 84AR potentials, bat ready next year, defense is 2 flips away. Great future top of the lineup hitter. Could be an good defensive 2B or a 3B with unbelievably good defense
LF Michael Salisbury - 21YO 74/53/77/86 bat potentials ready next year with 61/68 RA

There are also minor pieces on my active roster that might have value to competing teams: 3B Arnold, 1B Garza, LF Davis

I'm looking for a good young bat that is ready now. Position is irrelevant. I'm also interested in future picks.
