Oklahoma dominated Ohio State in Columbus and defeated the Buckeyes 31-16 in a game in which the score could have been far worse. The Sooners gained a bit of satisfaction for the Buckeyes beating them in Norman last season.

The two schools have played 4 times with the series tied 2-2. Interesting fact is the road team has won each of the 4 games.

With a wary eye on Oklahoma State, the Ohio State game away was the toughest game on schedule. Big 12 has a ton of pushovers, I think TCU vastly over-ranked. Just gotta keep Baker Mayfield healthy (and sober).

Sat, Sep 02 UTEP W, 56-7
Sat, Sep 09 Ohio State W, 31-16
Sat, Sep 16 Tulane - Norman
Sat, Sep 23 Baylor * - at Waco
Sat, Oct 07 Iowa State * - Norman
Sat, Oct 14 Texas * - Dallas
Sat, Oct 21 Kansas State * - at Manhattan
Sat, Oct 28 Texas Tech * - Norman
Sat, Nov 04 Oklahoma State * - at Stillwater
Sat, Nov 11 TCU * - Norman
Sat, Nov 18 Kansas * - at Lawrence
Sat, Nov 25 West Virginia * - Norman

One can never discount the Texas Longhorns. Always a dangerous team. Regardless of either team's record anything can happen and anyone can win the Red River shootout.

Then there is the Big XII Championship game where if you reach this game you will be playing a school for the second time. Still a long way to go.

FSU/Miami game for this weekend has been moved to Oct. 7 which was a bye week for both teams. Three weeks in between FSU's first and second game of the season. Also read the game from this past weekend wasn't going to be made up.

UPSET ALERT

Lowly Iowa State starts their 3rd-string QB at #3 Oklahoma & shocks the world with their first win over OU in 19 years.

Miami Hurricanes move into the No. 2 spot in the College Football Rankings. Clemson, previously the team just behind No. 1 Alabama, are now at No. 3 ahead of No. 4 Oklahoma. Clemson and Miami will meet in two weeks in the ACC Championship Game.

Undefeated Wisconsin and two-loss Auburn remained at Nos. 5 and 6.

It’s safe to say that the winner of this upcoming Saturday’s Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn will be in the top four of next week’s rankings. The victor will play Georgia for the SEC title in two weeks and the winner of the SEC is undoubtedly going to be in the playoff.

1. Alabama
2. Miami
3. Clemson
4. Oklahoma

5. Wisconsin
6. Auburn
7. Georgia
8. Notre Dame
9. Ohio State
10. Penn State
