I'm only in our office pool and our contract stipulates you can't quit your job until you hire and train someone to replace you. So...

If we won the jackpot alone, I think my share would work out to about $40 million after taxes.

But I'd pay off my debts and those of any immediate family member. Probably buy a bigger house. Stash a few million away in a safe investment just in case I screw up and blow through the rest with bad decisions. And then invest the rest in real estate and businesses to create income.

I'm splitting some tickets with a buddy of mine, so I'd be looking at half of it.

I'd retire, buy some land, build a larger but not mansion sized house, pay off any and all debt of immediate family, play a LOT of golf. Would save enough for myself that I can just live off the interest the rest of my life and probably give the rest away to family, friends, and charities.

A different buddy and I have joked that we actually would pay 2K Sports to make a new College Hoops game for Xbox too since the last one was 9 years ago and we only stopped playing it when we got Xbox Ones last year. Except if I had access to that much money, I'd actually consider it. (I know about all the legal issues with the Ed O'Bannon case, aka Not-Very-Nice Nickname That I Won't Write On Here, but there are ways to get around that by just randomizing all players in the game)

Or maybe buy the Rams and keep them in STL. OK not really, although it would be pretty cool to own a pro sports team.

About the only pro sports team the money you'll end up getting will buy is a hockey team. Which, would be cool with me. I'd do it.

If the Rams leave I might buy an NBA team and move them here. Some of the lower teams that have had moving rumors are worth just 800M. :D

I don't know, I was thinking about this the other day, and at my age now, 60, there's not a whole lot that I need. I do but I don't, if you know what I mean? But one things for sure. My kids & grandkids would not have to worry about anything for the rest of their lives!

Me and a buddy are splitting 10 lines. If you are close to a state line, you should check this to see what you will get after taxes. Glad I bought mine in IL instead of MO so I get to split an extra $21M when we win

We won $8 on Saturday, which our office pool just rolled over, so we've got 4 numbers in tonight. Our plan is to keep "reinvesting" until we either hit it big or have nothing left. We're not greedy. We'd be cool splitting $1 million between the 12 of us. Of course, we wouldn't begrudge getting our $42 million share of the jackpot.

We have a sister company that shares an office with us. Their pool didn't win a dime on Saturday, so they had to all go in fresh.
